No wolf whistling where I was which surprises me as some on here have been trying to make out it was a deafening crescendo that accompanied her appearance. Still was it the wolf whistles that have done for the bloke at Chelsea? If you read the Chelsea story Carneiro has actually been sidelined for speaking out on social media against Mourinho, Jon Fern didn't. There were wolf whistles, it was embarrassing. I'm sure you approached the people concerned and explained it was unacceptable behaviour............. ..............

Perhaps the club should post an article on everyone who helps out the club, whether paid or doing it for free. Though I think you mean they should only do an article on people you have heard of and over who a great fuss has been made. Well done for helping Jo, I think the best compliment to you was that no-one was commentating on your entrance to the game on Tuesday in the West enclosure. People will argue about sexism in the game but who drives the sexism? Can anyone name the bloke at Chelsea who José wants to ban? But God forbid José (who is a class a tosser) when he bans a woman. Who drives the sexism? Probably the people that wolf whistled Jo onto the pitch? No wolf whistling where I was which surprises me as some on here have been trying to make out it was a deafening crescendo that accompanied her appearance. No, not on everyone. But it's a pretty key role don't you think? Then again, that's probably the issue. They'd sooner hope no-one noticed the latest cock up. Now the chap who was trying to set some world record or other - that's far more interesting ... well worth an article. Can't say I read it myself, but I'm sure many were fascinated. Sounds very sexist to me angas, what a poor attitude you have in the 21st century. But that's what we have to live with now women desperate to reinforce sexist attitudes, people from ethnic minorities desperate to reinforce racist attitudes. But hey ho let's all be (black) sheep and follow the flock. But more importantly tell me about this world record attempt? I never read the club website

Why is there nothing on the official site about Jo? I think it's appalling that there is no article thanking her for stepping up in a time of crisis. No physio = no game? I guess our finance director hasn't worked out that no game = no cash. Or is it that in thanking her they'd have to explain why they're in this position in the first place. Poor show, either way. (Don't know if Vaughan's post about her talk with Montana should be taken with a pinch of salt or not, but I do know the commentary team thought he was totally crocked with a knee injury and couldn't believe it when he came back on the pitch so whatever she did, or said, seems to have worked something of a miracle.) I have spoken to Jo and she just wants to to help us out but wont leave her secure nhs job. She would be mad to do so. Football is such an insecure business in the lower leagues. she is living her dream to be on the bench and around the team on match days. It is a change from rehabilitating stroke victims which is her speciality. She was genuinely chuffed when I showed her page 5 of the programme and it had her name as Bristol Rovers physio. For the short time she will be needed that is payment enough. She is a real Gashead I have travelled to the likes of Accrington stamley on a rainy Tuesday night with her she is a top person and deserves a lot of respect not piss taking It's all too easy to be critical of someone without knowing the full story. However, I didn't hear anything disrespectful towards Jo where I was standing in the middle of the North Enclosure (Blackthorn) so hopefully there weren't too many being aimed at her but it's sad if some feel the need to make negative comments. I hope none of it reaches her Didn't here anything disrespectful in the West either, not unless you count 'so we do have a physio then' as being disrespectful. But who was the other unqualified bloke that ran on as well?

How about this as a daydream scenario:
Rovers sell the Mem and have £10m left over after repaying all debts;
Move into UWE stadium as tenants, charge £0.5m a year rent;
£10m is invested returning 10% per annum which is drawn down, paying the rent plus £0.5m a year left over for investing in the team.
Wouldn't be so bad, would it? Would mean that whoever runs the UWE stadium has to worry about non-match day income etc, while Rovers can concentrate on the core business of being a football club rather than property developers.
Faggoty, where can you get 10% pa return, is it those Nigerian Princess Lottery bonds or Somalian Pirate futures.... Very little that is safe (protected investment) that will get you over 1.90% in todays market. Well I suppose there is Greek national debt guaranteed by the German Government! If faggoty let's on where you can get a secure 10% then that's the stadium up in smoke as why would someone invest £30m to get an annual return of £0.5m? Just invest the money and get the 10% return, £3m a year

If 'forget about Rovers involvement ' then you can forget the stadium being built, ever. Only governments build a stadium without any tenants lined up, and the one lane jogging track leaves it a little short of being Olympic standard It could be developed as a sports complex not a football stadium, bit like Gateshead International Stadium... We have a very good Uni in Bath crying out for a good running track etc BTW i have NO hard facts that this is going on its just a possible option ! Well some people believe in flying pigs, God or Muhammed please yourself if you are one of those.

When and how? I'm guessing both answers will have been updated over the past couple of years: what do they currently look like? It's a genuine question. When first announced, I thought it would be built and could have given a date for occupation (forgotten what it was now), but have changed my view to 'no it won't', mainly because we're chasing finance that I don't think we'll get, which wouldn't be enough to build it anyway, have been in that position now for about two years, and seemingly haven't pursued any other way of delivering it. I'd like to think it would be built and am intrigued how anyone has confidence that it will be. Forget about Rovers involvement for a minute... If an opportunity presented itself to an investor to build a complete stadium complex with bang up to date infrastructure in place and full planning approved, i'm sure some rich company with previous experience in developing such facilities would be interested... it could happen you know ? If 'forget about Rovers involvement ' then you can forget the stadium being built, ever. Only governments build a stadium without any tenants lined up, and the one lane jogging track leaves it a little short of being Olympic standard

Topman I'd suggest asking DC whatever view some may have of him no-one can complain that he is unwilling to engage with fans.

Plenty of time to take the open top tourist bus tour of the must see sights of Luton. That should be a pleasing eye opener for the Dutchies..... On the bright side your flight could get cancelled

Well you are a moderator Terry (we do still have have mods that moderate don't we?) so you'll know I don't comment on every post. I didn't actually realise that it was one of the moderator's rules that you could only have an opinion if you have an opinion on every post, jeez that would increase the number of posts wouldn't it don't think the non-existent mods would be able to keep up with that. Still if you are going to consistently believe everything Nick says then I have no problem with that. I suspect though you will continue being a hypocrite & pick and choose what you believe from Nick and I may just comment on that now and again. You can like that or you can lump it. Or I guess you could ban me ... Bloody hell County getting a bit pathetic now. I am allowed my opinion even though I am a moderator and why the hell would I want to ban you ~ that is getting a bit neurotic. You are the one that picks and chooses. You are obviously upset with me about something and if that's the case I am sorry.I will refrain from commenting, posting or having an opinion on anything you say in future, it obviously grieves you if someone has a differing opinion. I will leave you to it. Have a good day. No not particularly, you obviously chose to ignore the bit I put in brackets (& others), which sort of proves the original point I was making. You can comment on anything I post if you want if you don't want to then don't. I'll certainly comment on things that you say if it's absolutely crap.

Hopefully DC will learn lessons from yesterday. The main lessons from my point of view is you can't play Easter & Taylor together as there is absolutely no physical threat and Sinclair playing on the left only if you've got a lead to defend. Otherwise it was what normally happens in front of a big crowd.

I had lightened up that was why I was laughing at you (& others). As to believing everything Nick says, how wrong could you be. If it's factual I'll believe it otherwise I take everything with a pinch of salt. I wouldn't be a hypocrite & pick and choose what I believe.Still let's hope for 3 points, a big crowd & a Matty Taylor hat-trick. Interesting ~ so you don't pick and choose things to comment on from other posters or pick out single comments from longer posts to give your view. Splinters and logs come to mind... We can all be wrong or be sent in the wrong direction. Something this board is very good at is misdirection and giving out disinformation. I got caught out a treat. Never again There's my point then, take everything with a pinch of salt

I always laugh at people who selectively chose to believe some statements & disbelieve others Lighten up County... Glad you believe everything that comes from the mouth of Nick. Are you honestly saying that the fans have not been kept like mushrooms? Anyway the football is more important now ~ I am hoping for 3 points today. Sorry if defending Sir Nick is more important to you than the football.... Have a wonderful day. Regards I had lightened up that was why I was laughing at you (& others). As a supporter I loved this ~ "The camaraderie and team spirit within this group of players remains as it was last season and I know they are looking forward to the new campaign." Sorry but tittered a little at this ~ "the initial decision in favour of Sainsbury's was far from clear cut..." ~ thought our case was watertight The cynic in me guffawed at this ~ "We will keep you informed of any developments in the case..." But it's the first day of the new season and I hope that at 5 o'clock Sir Nicholas (as a supporter) is, like the rest of us, cheering the winning of 3 points! UTG I always laugh at people who selectively chose to believe some statements & disbelieve others

I don't see any merit in not starting 11 on Saturday. Any fewer would put us at a competitive disadvantage, and any more would get us in trouble with the ref if he noticed. The ECB for financial reasons are thinking of fielding an England team with less than 11 players. Only way they can think of making matches last more than 3 days. Anyone want cheap tickets for trent bridge on Sunday or Saturday?

Care to say how many football league clubs have been put in Administration and the Administrator has sold the freehold of the ground separately to the whole club? Care to say how many Football clubs have borrowed from Wonga style companies? Clubs mainly borrow from banks, shareholders or other directors. Banks have been known to do pre-packs and the club and ground stay together. The Administrator will get the best possible price to fund the creditors and his fees and won't worry about what fans think.The likes of MSP have no sympathy and are hard nosed business people who get high interest rates for taking greater risks. I have dealt with clients in the past who have had expensive bridging loans and these people don't take prisoners. It gets steeply expensive if you fail to repay or want to refinance. The ground and club are separate companies albeit that the club is owned by 1883 Ltd whose asset is the Mem. It is ideally structured to flog off the asset and the club as two separate lots. Not saying it would definitely happen as I don't have crystal balls, but it is always a possibility. Of course a white knight could be coming over the hill at any moment..............no, pink porcine creatures. So I see you can't name any. Me neither. Still I disagree with the line in bold, that's what Adminstrators do in normal circumstances but when it comes to football just like successful businessmen logic goes out the window.
