Not doubting this instance. My incredulous point of view is that this is the first incident in a month of football in the top 5 divisions plus League Cup and JPT games? The FA usually shoot for easy victims. And I'll bet no player on England duty is ever taken to task by the FA.

Amazing with saturation TV coverage and a month into the season it's a Welling player who is the first caught. FA going for soft targets that won't kick up a fuss?

Because we'd be looking for a new goalkeeper at a busy part of the season. How many points does a goalkeeper earn over the course of a season? Not many, I'd wager. A bad one can cost loads, an OK one does OK and a good one does a little bit better than OK. Most young goalkeepers make more mistakes then experienced ones; I can see no real point in helping to develop somebody else's young goalkeeper if we haven't got a long-term stake in it. Trollope fell into the trap of trying to always get the best possible young keeper, and we ended up with an unsettled defence who conceded regularly regardless of how good the goalie was. All we need is a bloke who knows the job, who can organise a decence that trusts him and who doesn't commit regular howlers, in my opinion. He doesn't need to be an England U21 or a potential future star. Perhaps we need Mildenhall to move on/come to the end of his contract to free up a big slice of wages for a repalcment goalie, or DC sees a fit Puddy as our new No 1, who knows? Let's just hope Nicolls is signing and is also here for more than a month, assuming there's no sign of Puddy returning any time soon. Perhaps but why make that decision in August instead of May?

He took one look at the ground and thought "f me I am off" Oh well sounds like the least intelligent footballer since Frank LaBeouf, good riddance springs to mind

Don't take the risk of complimenting a woman. Stick to safe ground and just tell them all they are pig ugly.

Oh dear. So we are going back to the days of PT/LL and spending all our time arranging for one goalie after another on loan. How many loans are we allowed in one season? This will be the third in barely a month.

From where I was on Sunday I could look across the pitch and clearly see a massive queue at one hut and maybe half a dozen people waiting at the other hut. When the 2nd half started people from the long queue gave up and went back to watch the game. It shouldn't be beyond even Rovers for one of the hut staff to go to the long queue and direct people to the other hut. Maybe not hugely important in itself, but enough little leaks sink big ships. Was that the hut, long queue, by the West enclosure and hut in South Stand, short queue? If so technically you need a ticket to enter the South Stand. Sometimes enforced sometimes not.

Nope what appeal? Presumably you're referring to the complaint to the FA? Not aware anyone, but yourselfit appears, is holding this against Wycombe Now the err cough lightening people are. Semantics. NH went after Wycombe for fielding an ineligible player so the FA were supposed to deal with it even though it had already been dealt with. I think it made us look desperate and not accepting we had a crap chairman, manager and the worst team I've seen us field. I just think we really need to get back to being accountable for our own mistakes and maybe we can get back some of the goodwill we used to have I think everyone but you is over it

Did NH order the 'lightening'? No but he made a Pigs ear of the appeal and, in the process, made us look so very desperate and just as low as you get. I know many will say he was damned either way but sometimes you just have to doff your cap and get on with it as I have had to learn the hard way. UEFA have expanded the Euro Championship as far as possible to allow Wales to 'qualify' for the first time since 1958 but it looks like they'll need to expand it further to give Scotland a fair chance of making the Championships Wales are currently top of their qualifying group so even if UEFA reduced it to nine teams then they would qualify on merit as it stands. I know and it's hard to see them not being nailed on semi-finalists as well. Has there ever been a better team from the Home Nations?

We really need to get a grip and put this behind us. I think NH made a mockery of the club and we lost a lot of goodwill over the whole thing. Hoping we beat them fairly but this is a much improved Wycombe side and one who can score freely Did NH order the 'lightening'?

Expecting a good turnout too, can you pay at the gate? Believe you have to pay cash to the person in the turnstyle hut. The days of paying a backhander to a man on the gate has passed, the unacceptable face of progress

I think the most important thing to come out of this thread is the number of committed people needed to make a difference. The obvious conclusion I draw from the thread is that John M and Kim were expected to change the supporters club even though they didn't have a majority on the EC but I did make the point much earlier that some people don't understand how democracy works. Are you saying that John and Kim represented the majority or that they were attempting to force their agenda in an undemocratic way? I'm saying that the SC will be run in the way that the majority of the EC decide, if you 'control' a majority on the EC then you can change the SC. It seems to me that they never 'controlled' a majority because there were more talkers than doers.

I will privately, as that will involve naming names and I don't want to that on a public forum (my reference to Steve was in response) For me, the most useful thing to come out of this thread is the point that you make about it demonstrating to the people who want to set up a trust, just how complicated these things get. If they are going to have a go at it they'll need to have very thick skin and be totally clear and determined about their objectives. Do you just sit on twitter all day finding nuggets and trying to pass them off as your own scoops. Or was this from your mate who said Dave Martin was a quality addition. Anyway seems like an astute signing, guess Monokano will be going back when his loan expires so could be a longer term replacement of him with the ability to play the Leadbitter role. Get off your high horse and please stop the personal digs. For the record this was the first I has seen of it, so thank you Westcountry. Good luck to the lad, work hard and prove you are worth a long term contract. I presume, as a mod, you view the 'where all the moaners' thread as not being a dig at any people or trying to bait members? As a mod if you're happy with that thread then please apply the same even handedness to kingdwoodgas for his equally infantile post.

It was not true at the outset. It wax the SC Committee that allowed it, pushed it, to become that. I'm not sure you can blame the SC exectutive. Masters stood several times, on each occasion when faced with a competent opponent he failed, even David Brain beat him! After the mass resignations of 2006 Ken seized the opportunity, attended regional meetings and made sure that people knew his name. He insisted that postal votes were introduced and he won by a huge margin. BSS was parachuted in, he was known to Sky viewers and contructed an image of being a PR guru and told us that his company had overseen media/PR activities at Villa Park during Euro 96. Just the ticket. He looked competant and head & shoulders above the other candidates. Apart from a story about SS membership which made no sense whatsoever he seemed to be saying mostly the right things. The electorate made their decision. How is that the fault of the EC? They have both been re-elected, so you have to assume that the voters are happy? Comes down to the point I make every time there is an election that you need to vote to elect the candidate you want. Sadly people will moan on here and then not vote and complain about the candidate who gets elected. Sadly some people have never crasped democracy, but I'm sure there is something in the past that precludes them from understanding democracy
