So far our signings have cost us £0, which indicates something! I wonder what? Haha, you’re actually becoming a parody now. No signing is free, to entice three experienced pros down south comes at a cost, no doubt about it. not only that Ax, but the announcement of signings come early, but the leg work, through agents, contract negotiation with players, meetings to decide who to approach came even earlier still. WHICH MAKES ME THINK. Who signed these players, B***** or Tommy, do we know for certain? Either or both been on media speaking enthusiastically about them, as nothing had been posted to this thread. Gas cast has proclaimed it. Joey Bartons great reset . When did these players first get on our shortlist for due diligence and discussing inherent vice?

Before B***** came, which I suspect was results of canny agents selling him to our club, I believe our club under Wael, Starnes and Tommy has an appalling record at listening to agents, and that built our relegation squad, oddly imbalanced fullbacks versus strikers. There is nothing about these four signings in the great reset that convinces me otherwise, until I give them a chance to settle in, deserve their starting birth and showing what they are about, in a team that chops and changes shape and duties on weekly basis and no matter how well you have played make one mistake and you are out.

Likewise and obviously it is paper/internet chatter also linking us with Wes Burns, which if true would also suggest Joey's involvement

It failed. oh God. We are going to be lumbered with Joey’s gamesmanship cloggers.

The two players in question are definitely not cloggers, and have a lot of finesse about them as well as willing to get stuck in. Surprised to get Finley in league 2. If he delivers to his potential could be one of the best players in the league, but ah yes, Joey signed him, so must be a clogger. Time to get behind the lads instead of this incessant snipping.

Completely agree, the negatively and general 'I know better' is boring now. Teams tend to play in the style of the manager so it's no surprise he has started the process of turning round the weakness of the side and has brought in players who have some bite about them. JB must have been tearing his hair out at times last season when opposition teams constantly didn't have to play well to beat us. Keep signing streetwise players Joey

Offered a trial to Ogogo now. In the scenario Abu is fit, then yes,a good signing. Let's win the midfield battles! Edit.He would be another former Captain (Shrewsbury I think) and leader type.

And then do what with the ball? Abu can manage short passes or eg a ball down the wing and channels. The last time we were winning the middle of the field LOS,we made it to 2nd place in the 3rd tier.

Managers like players they can trust. DC did that in non league, signed players he knew and trusted and it worked out. TW comes in and with GC signed some with a Coventry connection seemed to be working. JB, now he’s manager, will sign players he knows and trusts. Let’s hope it works out just as well. UTG!

I see Jake Taylor has signed for Stevenage. He must have come to an agreement for his pre contract to be torn up following the departure of Tisdale. Good news for both the player and Rovers IMO.

Those of you with the tinted glasses on, see no evil hear no evil, sinners yet to see the light is getting a tad boring now.

You don’t mean great signing because a former Captain in the same way as Emmer? 😆 Ogogo picked up a whole sequence of MoM for us when fit. His game was quickly closing yards to opponent and taking ball off him. Turnover king. But it was so much dependent on that match fitness to close the yards, even when Captain salop in their great season, he only managed 30 games. It’s true, we are in agreement The New Experiment under Garner and Tommy lacked an experience spine and streetwise nature. Some of our more credible performance was when we owned midfield, Posh away for example, and Ogogo and Grant worked in tandem in front a back 4. But let’s not confuse experience and streetwise with gamesmanship and cheating. Like a manager telling his players to go down easy around and in a box. We all want to win every single one of us, the sectarianism comes when some of us want to win the right way; which is what enjoyable football is actually all about.
