Many gasheads will watch our final home league one match wondering if this time next year we will be returning to league one. A lot needs to happen of course a major team restructuring and change to a winning mentality.
Unconvinced if Barton is the man to take the team forward but prepared to see how his departures and new signings progress over the summer.
Today is the opportunity to test more youngsters Mehew, Armstrong, Walker, Phillips and Warwick.
Probably last chance for several squad members to impress Barton and fans to see if they are worth keeping.

Having seen the pitch 'management team' recently giving up, sulking and not giving instructions I have to wonder what we shall see today. It is incredible and a disgrace that we did not go down fighting. Then the team get stood down for days! Joey then tells the team (what will be left) to report back earlier from holidays and fit, before going off to Hereford for army style training especially fitness - or else. So it was all mostly down to the players' lack of fitness. Of course I shall watch the game, but I want all, including those in tight track suits, working hard for some kind of respect.

Feeling disenchanted.Team bottom never score and our stadium is atrocious. No doubt I will be back for next season but our club is falling behind big time. I would only retain two of our squad.

Expect to see the Big Fin give the camera a wave of goodbye... Does he have a release clause? Not like we need to cash in on him, not sure on his value with 11 months left given his age.

Not that I am being overly negative but I am just hoping that this time next year I will not be wondering if we will survive the drop from League 2. I will be happy with mid-table given that a lot of thst crap squad will be with us next season, unless we can off-load those contracted to remain next season. There are very few in the squad worth keeping.

The best thing now is to let this run it’s course. He will never act or think like a manager, 15 games, error after error, he is not going to miraculously become one close season. He wont be here at Christmas. 12 games into next season he will hardly have a fan boy left. But it’s better it runs it’s course to his football failure sacking than the mess of forced out by ownership wim. To that end two wins to end this season can only be a good thing. Let’s get behind them. I also like how owner ties himself to Joey, its going to shred his own standing, makes it more likely he accepts an offer to get out. We have seen more than enough of Joey’s managerial style to know his flop at Fleetwood was no fluke, he will fail here if given the chance, but it’s a great opportunity to get rid of owner too. Let’s get behind the players. UTG. Give us win.

It could work but the danger here is that El Pres would have damaged the club beyond anyone having an interest in buying plus I am pretty sure the asking price would, purposely, look to get back every single penny. Sorry if this offends but I have no faith nor trust in our owner

I’m not at all surprised by this line up.

I’m not at all surprised by this line up. Joey Barton can’t be harmed today. Lose four nil it’s experimental playing for contract side in exhibition game. Win it it’s give him a chance to turn us round. disappointed with Baldwin in that challenge. He was first to ball so could have put himself in way and used his strength.

We all know what all media will do if Wael doesn’t sack him - the days of Wael owning in this country would be time limited. By January we will definitely be free of Barton, we could realistically be free of Wael and his crew as well. All we will need to do then is finish third bottom (or maybe 1 bottom?).

Crewe showboating now, I know we have nothing to play for but we are allowing them to take the p*** As the commentator said 'With an empty stadium there is no affinity with the fans, they don't know who they have let down...'

That is so true and I find it very poignant. Dreadul. Crewe with 62% possession.

Game after game the same, all the football takes place in front our defence, Barton sets us out for that to happen - 3 centre backs no midfield, the midfield under him is all over the place, game after game after game. as soon as we get the ball it’s rushed and lacking composure, because Crew has an extra man to both press us and have us chasing shadows in middle so we can’t transition to different shapes, just stuck in shape opponent wants us. Barton is watching this but hasn’t a clue.

Do you think there would be interest in the club or would DWANE maybe replace ? There will be interest, but like you said KP how will negotiations go? There is a guy at Newcastle wants out, but not without a return for himself. hence if owner ties himself to Barton and the grief and failure coming with that, not just locally but he will be under spotlight nationally and internationally, he may be in mood to cut his losses. If Barton is sentenced the first thing that should come in his mind is take his family abroad for a fresh start. Europe if, as someone posted, US won’t let him in.
