What strange timing. Another nil. Another home loss. Another reportedly gutless, inept performance. I can see it's part of the "social media boycott", but does anyone know exactly when Wael took it down? Just after the final whistle. Unlike the players who downed tools at 3pm. How very 'convenient'.

B***** looked as though he had a bone to pick with one of their players after the final whistle. He went right up to one of their coaches and pointed at the player in question before stomping off. I found myself willing him on to punch him, but no such luck.

if you were brushed off the ball today, thereโs a chance you could be brushed off the ball in September. if I were to say Williams Kilgore and Baldwin is Joeyโs back three first serious game next season, anyone disagree? I am sure your guess ( considered opinion) is as valid as anyone else who posts on this forum but good luck to you. my reasoning is he is wedded to back three like ball and chain, even playing it in exhibition match, he keeps playing these players and they are in contract. ball and chain. Heh. I am such a wag. ๐

Gaschat has gone into maintenance mode! What strange timing. Another nil. Another home loss. Another reportedly gutless, inept performance. I can see it's part of the "social media boycott", but does anyone know exactly when Wael took it down? Wael doesn't have any control over that Sh1t forum does he?

A conspiracy theorist might conclude that this 15 game run under JB of mostly defeats and increasingly poor performances has been deliberate. As if to prove the point that "these are not my players. What can I do?" Hence the sulking on the touchline. Arms folded, sullen expression.
This - combined with the constant remarks like "if I had my way, we'd throw everyone out of the building" - naturally does NOTHING for morale. I don't think it's designed to either. Quite the opposite, in fact.
JB is using peculiar reverse psychology to divide and rule, hoping to lay the ground for his "great re-set" in the autumn. However, this feels to me more like a person who is first at the scene of a fire, eagerly helping the police and deploring the actions of those responsible - only to eventually themselves be revealed as the arsonist. An extreme form of narcissism.
I mention all this because - as emperor has identified many times - we were completely overrun in midfield again yesterday and the game took on exactly the same pattern as every other recent one under JB. "what can you do with these players, eh?" Well, for one: stop shaming them in public and two: at least try to set up our tactical shape in some form that will allow us to be competitive in games.
With this in mind, I also agree entirely with emperor that - assuming JB is manager come the new season - his tenure will not last long and won't end well. He's repeatedly told us that he "needs his own players". But will he back them in adversity or hang them out to dry too? Will he suddenly set us up to dominate midfield or will we keep chasing shadows?
I'm sorry, but I predict a very rocky first dozen games of next season with mixed results and the final nail in the coffin being when he publicly turns on us fans. Echoes of Paul buckle, I'm afraid.
The question then becomes: who next for manager?!

Ah bless. They tried to lose by more.
Didn't watch it.
Saw that we lost to another mistake.
I would have felt cheated had they won.

The question then becomes: who next for manager?! I seem to remember when JB joined he was very supportive of the players, it was only when it became evident that he wasn't going to save us from the drop, that he turned on them. I'm neither pro nor anti JB, he happens to be the manager of a team I follow so I want him to succeed. However - I will say - and I think I mentioned it when he joined us- that when he joined Rangers he said all the right things, talked very well and certainly bigged himself up before a game with Celtic . Well I was at that game, he and Rangers were utterly humiliated 5-1 (I actually left the ground disappointed that it was only 5) and within a few weeks he had left after a 'training ground incident' and having not even made double figures in appearances. I'm not saying that's how it will end here and I honestly hope it doesn't, but I can't say I would be that shocked if it does pan out that way.

If this was a game we were serious about wanting to win, why give everyone the week off?

I'm sorry, but I predict a very rocky first dozen games of next season with mixed results and the final nail in the coffin being when he publicly turns on us fans. Echoes of Paul buckle, I'm afraid. The question then becomes: who next for manager?! I pretty much agree. He wonโt get 11 players in, much of his squad next season will be relying on players still here, and has he burnt his bridges in having relationship with them? More than a quarter of a season he has had and there is no discernible plan where you can see players working with each other in a composed organised way. His midfields have been a mess from the start, meaning opponents, even really crap ones, have enjoyed playing the game in front our defence putting pressure on us. There were 10 to 20 points left out there to us in this run in if we took a defender out the back five and matched up in the midfield. A back 4, two in front protecting them. Hold the ball in midfield, you donโt just have time to gain territory and shape to be creative yourself, you are denying the opponents all the fun of the fair B***** Ball has been handing them. The fans who believe this big football celebrity has a great footballing brain and pedigreeare the casual fans following it via media, they are not actually watching games are they?

I wonder when Joey will deliver press conferences in a faux Bristolian accent?

I wonder when Joey will deliver press conferences in a faux Bristolian accent? ๐๐๐๐ He has even got the shoulder shrug in this. In his defence, when I came back from Germany, many said I often had the lilt of their language. I think we can all become chameleon like, in different settings

This is only our 7th relegation.
7th since 1962, but still only 7th.

I wonder when Joey will deliver press conferences in a faux Bristolian accent? Hopefully, if JB does do it in a Bristolian accent, he will 'say it only once'. But I will try not to 'listen very carefully'.
