Why do we keep playing a back 3 when it's so costly? I understand JB wants to attack, but surely a more solid foundation for that would be a back 4 and then overload the midfield?

Tactical update. 15mins. Gas cast repeating get Leahy and Walker deeper it’s cost as a goal Joey. You are giving them too much space out there. Are they suggesting that Our Joey is tactically naive? They are. In defence of Joey we don’t know what instruction he sent them out with. Go look for space when we are out of possession would be unlikely instruction.

Exactly, turn a few of these defeats into draws, deny teams around us easy points and the table would look very different. But Barton knows best... Just wait until he sees what L2 is like, with referees who don't even award a foul unless at least one limb is ripped off of the opponent, he's going to be totally apoplectic.

James Coppinger at 40 second oldest player to play against us and the oldest ever goalscorer. Brilliant, on target for 2 records in one match then, most ever home defeats in one season in our entire history, well done Wael, plus oldest ever goal scorer.

Same old, same old. Hanlon falling over yet again but it gets us a free kick. Would be annoyed if an opposition player fell over so easy. And yet another wasted free kick from Westbrooke!

Surely the point of playing Westbrooke is to help thread the ball to feet with Hanlan playing in front of him? Not the usual long high balls that find Hanlan with his back to goal? McCormick has barely had a touch.

This is the same as every other game, 3 times as many attempts as the opposition, but we are losing.

Also if we fail to score equals another club record of matches without a goal!

I agree with you, if you prefer ayunga in as the one up, he seems to be in better fitness and form. I disagree though about Westbrook, his deliveries and direct kicks are good in my opinion. Graham Souness or Nicky Butt isn’t his game. If we are to win, someone is going to thread a pass, and it’s more likely to happen with passing ability on the field. A midfield of Martinez Upson and corma have hardly been passing well of late. I like the move away from back five two up to more in the midfield battle. Interesting theories....does this lineup make you more confident or less confident of at least a point? I'm less. THAT thing I said about Westy being good at set pieces... 🤔
