Burton even more toothless than salop! Zilch pressure on strappon. And the one tooth they had they yanked off and got worse! Lol. All rovers players showing up well and committed to the cause. Nico on fire. We had some chances you fear opponents tend to put in against our team. Other than that we should go on to win this. UTG

Ten men won't help the cause. Two yellows.Bit harsh but reckon he won't be the last with this ref.

We should have put it to bed in the first half. Burton are awful.

Ten men won't help the cause. Two yellows.Bit harsh but reckon he won't be the last with this ref. It’s turned on the sending off. On the replay it looks very harsh. I’ve seen balls kicked further after whistle, but he did run about ten yards to kick a ball 9 yards so it just looked too obvious?

Ten men won't help the cause. Two yellows.Bit harsh but reckon he won't be the last with this ref. Before today he's taken charge of 23 games this season, 89 yellows, 5 reds. Sounds a bit high on the yellows but not exceptional with the reds?

This is where you need the cool head of Barton the bench, because we are still in this at one at least for a draw.

We threw that away. Stupid thing to kick the ball away by McCormick because the ref was looking for him. He was straight on anything we did and seemed to let Burton make niggly tackle after niggly tackle and only gave free kicks. It’s our own fault though, because we should have won that in the first half.
I think the ref wasn’t consistent either, several of their players kicked it away and he did nothing.
There you go, these things happen. All in all I thought we played well but we need to make our pressure and possession count.

I remember thinking he was harsh for the first McCormick yellow too. The game had barely started.

I liked the kick off, one of our best kick offs in years.

For those that didn’t see it.
It was a bit like the Gillingham away game under Tommy, as having much better of the first half, should really score first. Overall we probably played better away at Gillingham in two goal loss under Tommy. There is a reason burton are below us in the table, they were rubbish.
Obviously the sending off was key. And Burton players did kick it further away after whistle to waste time than macca. But on a yellow macca jogged 10 yards to knock a ball 9 yards, would a more experienced player have done something so obvious or is streetwise you get away with more showing less?
Not a bad performance overall.

Burton More street wise and took their chance well. We failed to open our account in first half silly yellow card by McCormick so a man light he will learn but two mid week defeats to our relegation rivals is poor. The trip to Hull City looks omninous now. Hanlan looked poor tonight easy to stop Nicholson my man of the match.

Another frustrating night. We create a few chances, can't convert them (we all know why, scratched record) and let a sloppy goal in and cling on for the lose.
Nickers clear through. Brandon clear through. Leahy shot. Rodders at the death. No goals.....we are paying the price for our failure to sign an experienced striker at this level and haven't replaced JCH.
Smith only has one foot....as fast as he is, you got to coerce him and his like away from goal, not inside so he can shoot unblocked. Goal.
Slow and lethargic again in possession, no forward movement, no runs. They played offside first half, but Leahy hardly got forward second. After sending off it looked like they had more players on the pitch than us!? How many times is it opposite when we play v 10?
McCormick.....ok, the ref was awful. Inconsistent all night. But you don't give him the opportunity to book you....Luke did and through naivity of youth perhaps cost us the game. We looked broken after that. He'll serve a ban too. Arguably without our best player.....the ref softly books our player to sending off and not theirs.....things haven't been going for us for a while and the one step forward and three steps back is gonna put us in Division 4 and the slide continues....
Poor, tonight. We are a better team than them and played the football first half. But, yet again we are masters of our own destiny and conspired to beat ourselves. Individual and collective errors are costing us matches and we can't find a way out of it..
Wigan and Burton are two nails (in coffin) where we can't find a win in those 4 fixtures. Yet, we've been the best performing team in all those games!
Crazy times, indeed...

That simply is it. Forest Green are going up above us in pyramid. The side we beat in the play offs to go up. they lost key players at Christmas but instantly replaced them. We had two windows and failed to do it in order to avoid this relegation.
