I don't know why Hanlon's not more loved. I really enjoy him running at defenders.

Between them Wael and Loser Boy put together a L2 squad at best. Any manager is going to struggle to sort this out without being allowed to recruit. Question is, will Wael admit his mistake? I didn't realise Wael was the manager and deciding on the players he wanted in the team. He backed Garner who got the players in. That being said this is absolutely shocking today. We give more passes away than we make. Teams must love playing against us.

Westbrooke and grant arent up to this level. Westbrooke spent most of his time at cov on the bench, we got excited as he left a promoted side, but his dead balls aside hes not good enough. As for Grant, lordy.

Only player to earn his wage today was Hanlan, the rest of the team are not good enough, I thought Westbrooke, Baldwin & Grant had stinkers today, Oxford head and shoulders the better team.
We subbed MCormick, our only fit ball winning playmaker and replaced him with statues.

Wael was full of himself, telling anybody who would listen about his master plan to turn us into a L1 version of Southampton. It's just cowardly not to accept responsibility for your own mistakes, which is why I'm sure Wael has drafted his apology already and will tell us that in future he's only going to deal with the business side of the club and he's going to leave everything football related to people who know what they are doing.

So Hanlan was marking the snake. Hanlan, sadly, was not marking the snake. Let me re-phrase. None of our 7 defenders were marking Oxford's top scorer who had a point to prove against one of his previous employers. That responsibility was left to Hanlan, our lone striker. So that was dog pooh.

I don't share the confidence many of you show in our avoiding relegation. We're a bit rubbish.

Oxford have won their last 5 games (Goals for 15, Goals against 3). We've lost our last 4 games. I think this points to a defensive XI and hope to nick a point. Probably only an isolated Hanlan up front (unless Daley rises like Lazarus from the treatment table). No way Ehmer will be dropped. Our Captain and best defender. General odds. Oxford: 4-6, Draw 3-1, Gas 4-1. Not looking forward to this one with any sense of expectation. Agreed game of opinions but what drugs are you on ! Ehmer captain and best defender !!...not a captain and our worse defender ...most goals conceded have been Mad Max's fault No leadership fails to take responsibility and poor positioning.Kilgour bails him out time and time again and showed real leadership. Millwall Tone must be laughing his head off replaced by one of the poorest centre backs I have seen in a Rovers shirt. Tillson rumoured to be being brought in as his coaching role at Southampton has been curtailed due to covid etc Tilly to impart his knowledge on Mad Max and co. Baldwin and Harries again leave me wondering about panic summer recruitment. Rollin was far better than both of them. If Matty fails to score today I will donate a fiver to North Bristol food bank. Do you think Baldwin or Harries are a better defenders than Ehmer? Seriously? Did you watch today? Ronald Mcf*c*ing Donald is a better defender than Baldwin.

To make matters worse, I thought all of Oxfords later sub's had more about them than our starting eleven (excluding Hanlan) did any of our sub's get to kick the ball?...We offer little threat without Daly, Nicholson & Oztu.

An apology won’t achieve anything though will it ? What Wael needs to do is to find a way out of the mess he has created. For his sake and for Rovers’ sake.

Oh dear. Again.
This is again the worse a performance that I've seen from a relegation threatened team.
How a team that lacks goals plays only one up front again, I have to question the starting lineup? A like for like replacement in form of Ogogo for Upson was never going to convince anyone we were in for an attacking display.....the irony is, Ogogo missed the easiest chance of the match by somehow managing to hit wide from the six yard box!? Ok, McCormick distracted him.
Too many unforced errors and lack of basic football skill will see us exactly where we are.
Instead of simple passing and movement, which Oxford and Crewe managed to do easily, we try to pass to their players or take the whole opposition on (yea, Baldwin you're really gonna get away with that?)....the training ground can only teach you so much.
We have no structure in creative open play, only relying on set pieces to score.
A headless chicken has more composure and cohesion.
PT says he was disappointed... That's an understatement. PT says he's learning about his players... Yet he still continues to play the underperforming ones. PT says he's inherited the squad... Well he's had 23 days + to alter that. PT says he's seen enough to stay up... I haven't.
Hey, I'm never the sort of guy to turn around and say I told anyone so, but we are reaping what we've sewn. BG squad was too light, too lopsided and little or no experience without the knowledge how to change things....we have been put back years with the loyalty/faith (which was admirable) shown in BG acquisitions, that PT is struggling with. It isn't with hindsight, others and I were saying bring in a manager with some of his own players before close of summer transfer window.....now, PT has to work with a defence that can't reasonably defend, a midfield that chases the game and can't pass, and one jewel in the crown of Hanlan coming deep to rob possession, sweetly strike from 30 yards, but has little or no support....we have no strikers after 23 days of transfer window!?
