Shock horror we lose at sunderland! They have been better than us for 150 years and probably always will be. I’m sure you would have said the same about Ipswich....before Coughlan got a result there.

According to those on here who clearly hold a UEFA B coaching badge, we only won last week because they had a player sent off and yet this week when we get a player sent off, in a match we were just getting on top of, Ogogo's red card played little or no part in today's defeat... It's straight out the Garth Crooks school of punditry I tells you

When the red card was issued today we had 35% possession and hadn't had a shot on target for 55 minutes and no shots at all in the second half. You don't need to be Guardiola to work out that we were on the receiving end of yet another pasting.

It's still funny though.

"IF you think you can do the job better , apply for it....."
Awful post! Probably poorest of the day. So far.
IF I had known we were in the business of employing managers that hadn't managed or played professionally, I would have jumped at the chance!
Then again, you could've applied and turned out the same cr@p! With apparently no room to be criticised or held to account, even by us home paying fans (where most funds fans pay stay at our club).

But I don’t profess to know better than him, I agree he ain’t got a grip on things at the moment, but he “ fortunately for him” c/o GC Tranmere Southend Bolton and Bury he has time to get things how he wants to be and running on 3stars for next season

Following on from that, do you think that our better players will be looking to move in the summer unless results pick up?

Going by what has introduced so far, it looks promising, I can’t see JCH going because of his continuing recurring injuries, certainly not to a team in the championship at least, as for what some of you think is a disaster waiting to happen, obviously some think it has happened already 😀I cannot see it , painful at the moment but slow germination is there , upwards and onwards

We did play well with neat passing and movement, "proper football" like the purists demanded. We frustrated them and the crowd, and looked odds on for a 0-0 at least until Ogogo got tangled up with one of their blokes and flashed out at him. The bloke collapsed like a house of cards and the ref bought it. I'm not saying Ogogo shouldn't have been punished but their bloke should have got an Oscar. After this, Sunderland exploited our left wing and nicked three goals but weren't worth it imo. We'd made them look very average up to then. JCH's strength lies in running at defenders so why order him to play as a target player flicking backward headers on to somebody he assumes/hopes is behind him? Ginnelly and the double-barrel from Derby caused a lot of problems and also defended well. None of your sideways backwards crap we've been fed in recent years, by Sercombe especially, but direct running. I say drop Clarke-Harris for a while and give Abraham a run out. He's a direct player, and that's what you need to make 4-3-3 work. Slow target players bog everything down.

It just leaves the massive question of what was the issue where we lost all those games under Garner and failed to beat rubbish like Tranmere? From what I see it’s the Garner supporters who are trying to maximise the value of red cards and minimise their value when it suits.

Going down to 10 men always means defeat for us home or away. Whereas the opposition seem to gain strength from the same situation. Something is fundamentaly wrong somewhere.

DO enjoy your evening c\\y got stuffed at home playing AGAINST 10 men , AND ACCORDING TO A MATE WHO WAS THERE, WERE NEVER IN THE FRAME AFTER THE WHISTLE WENT AT 3:00 PM Yeah I’ll have a go, and you know what? I’d be confident of at least matching Garner’s record because basic probability tells me that out of 3 outcomes on any given day given 15 cracks at it I am bound to fluke a win at some point the same as Garner has. Phil Bater (Phil bloody Bater) who inherited one of the worst Rovers teams in history even managed 2 wins in 14. Would you say Phil Bater has a better reputation than Garner? Course you wouldn’t. Even the stopped clock is right twice a day. So for me all the people who are rejoicing that he beat Blackpool are wide of the mark. All Garner has proved there is that given enough chances a manager wins a game. He now needs another 4 or 5 wins to suggest that he knows what he is doing and that solitary win wasn’t just expected chance. Where are those 3 or 4 wins coming from? Buggered if I know....

Yeah, in the 50 years I've been following Rovers it's happened time and again. Course, different managers, different players, different opponents every time.

Just listened to BG's post match interview, christ he's won one game against 10 men in 16 games, now he wants to raise a complaint against the FA over a head clash on the half way line, sadly not interfering with play, but resulted in a goal, me thinks clutching at straws. I think we are now becoming a laughing stock, one thing for sure, where ever he took his coaching badges should be praised for instruction in post match defeats.

Think I remember a game at the Mem when Rob Trees got sent off, did we get a reult then? Wigan 4 sent off, ok lost one nil. Am sure we have had some results when sp down to 10.

Yeah I seem to recall he wasn’t a fan of criticising the ref when he first turned up. Now he’s being made to look a clown he wants to complain about the ref after the game then write to the FA etc. He would actually go up in my estimation if he just held his hands up and said he wasn’t happy but would keep his own counsel. His recent bitter recriminations with our refs are a sign that he is feeling the pressure.
