Match report by Tim Oscroft, BBC Sport journalist.Manchester Originals missed a great chance to record their first win in this year's men's The Hundred as a Harry Brook-inspired Northern Superchargers held on for a 14-run victory at Headingley. Chasing 168 after Brook's 58, the Originals were 88-0 with 50 balls to go when Phil Salt was run out after failing to ground his bat or feet when attempting a quick single. Matty Hurst hit a brilliant 78 before being run out by a piece of quick thinking by Superchargers wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran, who was alert enough to discard a glove before throwing down the stumps with the Originals opener short of his ground. Match report:Tammy Beaumont top-scored with 34 as in-form Welsh Fire continued their impressive campaign in The Hundred women's competition with a seven-wicket win over struggling Southern Brave. Beaumont had scores of 4, 5 and 0 in her past three innings, but the England batter played a key hand on a tricky pitch with a composed knock as Fire chased down Brave's 84 with 10 balls to spare. Lauren Cheatle took 2-8 to briefly inject some hope into Brave's efforts in the field but Jess Jonassen and Sarah Bryce, who finished unbeaten on 20 and 13 respectively, calmly steered the hosts home. Earlier, Smriti Mandhana had fallen for a duck from the first ball of the game, off Freya Davies' bowling, to set the tone for a miserable Brave batting effort. Skipper Georgia Adams was top-scorer with just 17, and one of only three Brave players, alongside Danni Wyatt and Freya Kemp, to make double figures. Match report by Timothy Abraham, BBC Sport Journalist.James Vince struck a peerless unbeaten 73 and Tymal Mills took a skilful 4-16 as Southern Brave cruised to a 42-run victory over Welsh Fire in The Hundred men's competition. Brave skipper Vince delivered another stylish masterclass with an innings which combined elegant strokeplay and powerful hitting to help Brave reach 139-5 after being asked to bat first on an awkward pitch. Leus du Plooy (21) and Kieron Pollard (17) hoisted a couple of sixes each to support Vince as Haris Rauf finished with 2-22 for Fire. The hosts' reply never really got going as they struggled to find the boundary in the face of a Brave bowling attack expertly managed by Vince, as the visitors diligently applied pressure from the outset Jonny Bairstow briefly flickered for Fire before he ramped Craig Overton and was superbly caught by Mills for 16. Match report by Sam Drury, BBC Sport journalist.Paige Scholfield made an unbeaten 48 as Oval Invincibles secured an important seven-wicket win against Manchester Originals. Set 126 to win at Old Trafford, Invincibles were faltering at 60-3 from 56 balls when Scholfield came to the crease. But the South Africa-born right-hander shared an unbroken stand of 67 with Marizanne Kapp to get the visitors over the line with seven balls to spare. Amanda-Jade Wellington was the pick of the Invincibles bowlers, taking 2-22 including the key wicket of Originals opener Laura Wolvaardt. After a slow start, Originals accelerated as Wolvaardt reached 38 from 28 balls before a superb low catch from Ryana MacDonald-Gay saw her fall to Wellington. The Originals' progress stalled and it took an entertaining 26 not out from 15 balls from captain Sophie Ecclestone late on to drag them to a defendable total. However, despite working their way into a handy position with the ball, Originals were unable to break the Scholfield-Kapp partnership and fell to their third loss of the campaign. Match report by Sam Drury, BBC Sport journalist.Sam Curran was the star for Oval Invincibles once again as he led them to a dramatic three-run win over Manchester Originals at Old Trafford. The England all-rounder smashed six sixes as he made 68 from 38 balls with the bat before defending seven runs from the last five balls to seal the win. Curran dismissed Jamie Overton with the first ball of the final five then, with Originals needing four off the last delivery, the left-armer had Usama Mir caught on the boundary. It was a familiar story for Originals as, chasing 165 to win, they failed to take advantage of an excellent start with the bat. Another half-century from opener Matty Hurst, in partnership with skipper Phil Salt, helped them to 89-0 but - just as they did against Northern Superchargers in their last game - they crumbled. Big hitting from Paul Walter and Overton got them close but Curran held his nerve to condemn them to their to a fifth straight defeat and officially end their hopes of making the qualifer. The Phoenix's 86-ball innings was also the third shortest for a team to be bowled out in the Hundred's women's competition. Opener Sophie Devine struck 20 off 25 balls and Seren Smale posted 16 off 20, but no other Phoenix player made it past seven with the bat. Stokes was dismissed by a brilliant Tim Southee yorker as the Superchargers struggled to 83 all out - the third-lowest total in the Hundred's men's competition. England's Ben Duckett (43 off 20) and Moeen Ali (37 off 21) then led Phoenix to the competition's first 10-wicket victory in just 39 balls. Moeen struck a six off the final ball to secure the fastest chase in the Hundred as Phoenix moved above their opponents into third place on six points. England captain Stokes was playing in just his third Hundred match and his first since the competition's debut season in 2021. Smith was unluckily run-out while backing up at the non-striker's end and 20-year-old Scrivens was bowled by Sarah Glenn after reaching her first Hundred half-century. Opener Danni Wyatt hit an unbeaten 46 as Brave chased a revised target of 83 with one ball to spare. Put into bat, the Invincibles struggled with an excellent opening spell from Lauren Cheatle (2-6), losing Chamari Athapaththu for a third-ball duck and Alice Capsey for 19. With the score at 38-2 after 35 balls, the match was suspended because of rain for 90 minutes and reduced to 65 balls for each team upon the resumption. Tilly Corteen-Coleman, 16, took the wickets of Lauren Winfield-Hill and Paige Scholfield from successive balls, but Marizanne Kapp (26*) anchored the remainder of her side's innings as they closed on 79-4. Brave's Smriti Mandhana was run out for just two early in the reply, but Wyatt was dropped twice in her innings, by Mady Villiers when on five and by Capsey, having made 14. Spirit slipped to 25-2 in response but Georgia Redmayne struck a superb 66 off 59 balls to help her side complete their chase with eight balls remaining and eight wickets in hand. The Australian enjoyed an unbeaten 90-run partnership with England skipper Heather Knight, who finished on 29 from 27 deliveries. If results fall their way Spirit could seal a top-three finish with victory over London rivals Oval Invincibles, who are currently fourth, on Sunday. The teams who finish second and third in the Hundred's group stage meet in the eliminator, with the winner going forward to a final against the team who finished in first. Afghanistan seamer Fazalhaq Farooqi then took 3-24 as impressive bowling limited Spirit to 123-5 and ended the Originals' six-match winless run. Match report by Mike Peter, BBC Sport Journalist.Trent Rockets kept their hopes of reaching the knockouts alive with a comfortable 24-run win over Southern Brave in the women's Hundred competition at the Utilita Bowl. An impressive Rockets score of 155, featuring an unbeaten 60 from England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt, proved impossible for Brave to chase, despite some late fireworks from Chloe Tryon. Put in to bat, Rockets saw Linsey Smith run out from the first ball of the innings and Nat Wraith bowled by Lauren Cheatle for 12. But Sciver-Brunt put on partnerships of 62 with Grace Scrivens (36) and 33 with Ash Gardner (18) to put Rockets in command. Match report by Mike Peter, BBC Sport Journalist.Kieron Pollard hit five consecutive sixes to lead Southern Brave to a thrilling two-wicket victory over Trent Rockets in the men's Hundred competition at the Utilita Bowl. Chasing 127, Brave were struggling on 78-6 before the West Indian all-rounder smashed all five balls of Rashid Khan's final set clear of the boundary to drag his side back into the tie. Having hit a further two fours, both Pollard and Jofra Archer were run out in a nervy final 10 balls, before Chris Jordan's four through backward square sealed the win with one ball to spare. Rockets won the toss and chose to bat, reaching 46 without loss before losing openers Tom Banton and Adam Lyth without adding any more to their total. The visiting side scored steadily but lost wickets periodically, with five of their top six falling for scores in the teens. Chris Jordan then dismissed Rashid Khan and Luke Wood in the space of three balls as Rockets finished on 126-8. Brave started positively, reaching 43-0 before Alex Davies was caught by Banton off the bowling of Sam Cook from the 30th ball of the innings. The home side would then lose a further five wickets, three of them to seamer John Turner, in the next 50 balls and score just 30 runs. But Pollard, who had started with a scratchy six from 14, ended that spell dramatically with brutal hitting against Rashid. Match report by Ffion Wynne, BBC Sport Journalist.Welsh Fire missed a chance to seal their place in the play-offs of The Hundred women's competition, as Birmingham Phoenix edged a tense contest at Sophia Gardens. Fire were favourites, needing 16 from the last 10 balls with Hayley Matthews at the crease, but Katie Levick's two wickets in two balls swung the game in Phoenix's favour and secured a nine-run win. Georgia Elwiss fell for 10 and Matthews was caught for 35 before Emily Arlott took two more wickets in a disastrous collapse as the hosts lost four wickets for four runs. Earlier, Phoenix's 121-7 was set up by Sterre Kalis' 55 while Matthews' 3-32 and Freya Davies' 2-17 led a disciplined Fire bowling performance. Fire's chase ebbed and flowed, with Sophia Dunkley and Matthews leading the recovery from Tammy Beaumont's early departure for 12 before all-rounder Ellyse Perry took two wickets in two balls - Dunkley for 18 and Sarah Bryce first ball - to stall the home side's progress. Matthews and Jess Jonassen, with 28, then looked to be sealing Fire's qualification before Phoenix's bowlers fought back, supported by impressive discipline in the field. A win at Cardiff would have guaranteed Fire a top-three finish but struggling Phoenix kept their slim qualification hopes alive. Match report by Sam Drury, BBC Sport journalist.Lauren Winfield-Hill scored her first half-century in The Hundred this year to lead Oval Invincibles to an eight-wicket win over London Spirit. Set 121 to win, Invincibles got over the line with nine balls to spare thanks to an unbeaten 61 in 40 balls from captain Winfield-Hill. The Invincibles opener hit the winning runs with her 10th boundary, taking her partnership with Marizanne Kapp, who made 30 from 18 balls, to 51 in the process. Victory takes Invincibles level on points with leaders Welsh Fire and keeps them in with a chance of qualifying directly for next Sunday's final at Lord's. But for Deepti Sharma's 46 not out, to rescue Spirit from 47-7 to post 120-8, the margin of victory would likely have been big enough to send Invicibles top on net run-rate. As it is, Winfield-Hill's side go into their final group match - against Trent Rockets on Wednesday - knowing a win guarantees them a place in the top three. They must wait on Fire's result at Southern Brave earlier that day to know what will be required to take top spot, though. Meanwhile, Spirit are two points back in fourth and need to win at Northern Superchargers on Tuesday to book a top-three place.
