All three on HAVING A GAS now 6-7pm tonight BBC Radio Bristol Two sound unhappy at being released and the way it was handled. Locks had been planning his departure. Said he should have gone two years ago. Locks has offers from four Championship Clubs. Good listen.

Lines has joined up with Keith curle at Northampton. Another gas legend. Remember seeing curle in the cafe on Stapleton road prior to matches at eastville. He was knocking off the girl behind the counter could be his wife now. They are both one of our own.

Hardly gas legend. He seems to have managed a fair amount of teams & I don’t remember any success but then I have not exactly followed his career.

I remember him more from going to the nightclubs with Ollie and Phil Kite. You would see the 3 together and often. Busby’s was their favourite place. I seem to remember it being said he was the fastest player over 100 metres but my memory could be playing tricks on me.

The girl behind the counter was Flora who married and is still married to Phil Kite.
Flora is one of the most attractive and pleasant ladies on the planet.

I think you are confused with somebody else I recall him playing at twerton against us for somebody, put his fingers up at the crowd at the end of the match, twentyman grabbed him if I recall, or at least confronted him. My memory is , fast winger, with us for 5 mins, sold, abusive.

Made his debut against Chester on first day of 1981 season and scored with late header.
Cooper turned him into centre-half at City having been at Torquay going nowhere in football parlance. Randall made him look silly on 8th December 1984 in 3-1 Cup win. Oh the joy!!
Pace made him effective as centre-half.
Quite aggressive when young with a chip on shoulder.
Fair play to him. He matured and made most of his abilities. He owes Cooper everything for spotting his potential at centre-back. Distinguished career at Man City and played right-hand for England under Graham Taylor in 1992.
He was good at woodwork at Chase and completed a Family Stand for his Subbeteo that eclipsed our attempt this season.

Lockyer apparently did well for Charlton against Gillingham yesterday - not. He's got to adapt to the higher level (better teams than Gillingham) Not being the main man anymore. He'll come good but I don't think he'll hit the ground running. But he's a workaholic and has his goals of playing for his country, so it may take time.

His distribution won't be acceptable in the 2nd division. If he can improve that he'll be OK, if he keeps giving the ball straight back to the opposition or shanking it out of play like he always has for Rovers, he'll find opportunities limited.

Personally Glad they have gone, especially Sinclair, as I have never been a fan of headless chicken style footy. Meanwhile hope Locks does well at Charlton

Yep that's where he always fell short in L1 I think it was good enough for L1 where possession is lost, won, lost won, lost, won. But in the 2nd tier it's a lot harder getting the ball back. Don't get me wrong, I wish him every success, but he'll have to improve that part of his game.
