I don't believe Richardson fronts up another Consortium. Where's Ed Ware these days? Is he still dreaming of buying us. I like Ed by the way before Fanatical steams in. I like Ed too (a lot), but I would tell him to concentrate on his business and young family, like several others he had a close call with Rovers and does not need that again.

I think it was something like 'an exclusive until the bid fails' Monday's update was 'Talks are progressing on the fruit market and we hope to hear something by the end of the month' Ah yes, that sounds right- all contingent on the FM bid. Although how long will DS sit around twiddling their thumbs while Total Produce consider whether they are going to accept? Is the offer even still on the table? Sounds from this thread that that may not even be the case anymore. It’s all so frustrating- with BCC set to compulsorily purchase the land anyway you’d hope that this consortium’s offer would be accepted....unless they are low balling the fruit market with the compulsory purchase in mind as leverage. *sigh* it’s never cut and dried with Rovers is it? Well, the land's going to be developed, it's all part of a proposed diesel vehicle exclusion zone, so that effectively scuppers just about everybody running a business there at the moment, but I'll promise you this, absolutely nobody sane would even be talking about building any kind of arena there, and you can double that if it meant using their own money to do it. So, let's just hope that BCC isn't full of hypocrites and they also ban construction workers from using anything involving diesel. Guess we all know how that's going to pan out. Can't wait for the messy stuff to hit the fan in a few years when there's a massive pile of knackered lithium batteries and everybody is expecting someone else to cover the cost of dealing with it. As for anybody who thinks that they'll jump in the trusty diesel Mondeo and park somewhere near and walk to a match (not that a ball will ever be kicked in St Phillips) sorry, but BCC have different ideas, you've got to use our non-existent public transport network. Some things about this City are great, but the people running it are self-obsessed morons.

I believe you have hit the nail on the head. I was told that he actually breached a NDA. Perhaps Fanatical could confirm? Be assured that whatever Wael is up to, it is for the benefit of Wael not Bristol Rovers supporters.- The sooner he goes the better. In my opinion his nice guy persona is false didn't really answer the question tho

You're a cheery fellow, Bambi. You should see me on a bad day! Want to buy some old 900 lb car lithium batteries? I hope that Greta knows that I'll never forgive her if those things create an environmental problem Edit. Got it, we can hide a load of those dead batteries in the old nuclear subs that are presently rusting away at Devonport.

Thanks Fanatical.
So with Chris Jelf sunning himself in South Africa....we are running out of knights on white horses.
Any suggestions from you? Or are we left to second-guess the motives of sports capital companies and the like who are just interested in asset-stripping.

By the time any stadium is built diesel cars will have gone up in (blue) smoke and we'll all be zooming along in battery powered cars!

Behave, when have Rovers ever moved fast enough to make you think they’ll be well placed to take advantage of the 2050 teleportation craze?! The one thing John Titor didn’t promise us was a new Rovers stadium.

All that Richardson has done is act as a non-exec in purchase of Palermo by SCH, who then sold it on within 2 months or so. He got Holdsworth and Platt involved to big themselves up as some football-savvy consortium. Richardson resigned from SCG in 2019. They have not invested in any FCs other than Palermo. They or Richardson are not involved. They have no "genuine" interest in BRFC. Okey dokey.

It only counts if there is an artist's impression. I haven't seen one yet for the Fruit Market.
Back in the late 70's Rovers concocted an artists impression of Eastville with a 'Dome' completely covering the pitch, twas in the evil post, with the title of 'Rovers put a lid on it', ridiculous really.

Never mind, we got Ikea and went to Twerton instead. God only knows where we'll be playing in 2 years from now

Well found Curly!, seems like every decade since the 70's Rovers attempt a 'build' of sorts, and so far the sum total is a roof over the Thatchers (mostly paid for by the fans I believe?) and a bunch of tents. Fruit Market?, Fruit cake!.

So to avoid talking in riddles, certain members of this Forum are suggesting; 1. Hamer and KM were actively involved in the FM bid 2. The FM deal is now dead 3. We are now in discussions with another Consortium fronted by Richardson That's my take, I thought that I would summarise. Who is Richardson?

Well if there is another Consortium, it is not Sport Capital Group, who worked on acquisition of Palermo. Fact. I think it needs to be written as FACT to make it an actual fact

Thanks Fanatical. So with Chris Jelf sunning himself in South Africa....we are running out of knights on white horses. Any suggestions from you? Or are we left to second-guess the motives of sports capital companies and the like who are just interested in asset-stripping. The only asset we had was the equity in the Memorial Stadium. That has now been spent. (I guess you could chuck in our squad value - which amounts to JCH be worth £500-£750k. When he inevitably gets sold, that money just helps plug the funding gap for the present year). We are not vulnerable to asset-strippers, because Dwane Sports have very cunningly engineered a situation where we no longer have any assets.

Fruit Market?, Fruit cake!. In 1955 there was a proposed stadium being considered for Speedwell what became the site of Speedwell school

So with the equity spent the owners are now ploughing their own money into the club? Although i would argue losing an expensive assets value is in fact also putting your own money in.

No, most probably match day income and credit lines.
