I don't remember the name of the pub, but it was almost a straight line from the garden area where we were drinking, to the turnstiles, which was nice
I remember seeing you, Mike Turl, Lands End Kim, can't remember anymore, was Colin Williams there? in that pub garden. And in the ground we were stood near Chesh and the good Dr.
Happy days
EDIT: Oh forgot; we lost 2-1 - still happy days though. Who would have thought of what was to come.
No Colin wasn't there.

We will get more money if Lambert activates whatever clauses were placed in the deal by Southampton (the add ons) in the future. The 4.5 million (or whatever it was finally set at) is the one off payment which we get a cut of right now. So if Lambo has a clause saying Liverpool have to pay 1 million if he scores (for example) 15 goals then we will get 20% of it. A nice position to be in

No Colin wasn't there. You are right I was there with the good Dr. I remember him telling me that he thought that Lambert chap looks good, reckon we ought to get him..... must have had a word with GoD! I also remember getting annoyed as we seemed to be coasting yet there was still an outside chance we could get a place. I stood up and started shouting and singing and the good Dr said "You can take the boy out of the Tote End ....." Great day apart from the result!

I'm struggling to think what the add-ons might be. Goals/appearances clauses aren't in Southampton's interest given Rickie's age and the other players at Liverpool he's competing with?

I disparaged him when it was suggested on the other forum he might play for England...glad to be proved so wrong, good luck to him and thanks for the bonuses for BRFC

You are mixing Stockport with Rochdale Chesh but you can be forgiven at your age. Lambert was a Rovers player by this time.

I'm much, much older than Chesh though, that's my excuse.
I know for a fact though that again at Stockport, I was sat with Chesh and his daughter behind the goal when Frazier Forster was our loan keeper.
Mesa boogie was there as well - is he still around?

How about £1m for each of these? 1 - 15 or 20 goals in a season & /or plays 20 or 25 games 2 - Liverpool win the Premiership 3 - Liverpool win the Champions League 4 - Liverpool win the FA Cup

So do we have or not the 20% on him? I predicted on the old Alternative Forum that Lambert was good enough to play for England one day, probably even before he left. (of course there is no way of proving that now).
Like Dunford, I'll live off that forever, even though no one remembers or cares unless I keep reminding them every 2 minutes. Like Dunford, I will also neglect to mention that I thought Chris Dickson would become the next Barry Hayles.

NB I am mixing Stockport and Rochdale, it's all the talk of pubs.... It did rain very heavily at Stockport.....that's probably affected the old marbles as well.....

Would the money go to your playing budget or do you have loans that need being paid off?

Would the money go to your playing budget or do you have loans that need being paid off? Relegation has left a shortfall in the budget, legal fees, stadium build etc etc. To be honest I hope it is used to balance the books, although this is Bristol Rovers!

I don't have a problem with him signing Lambert. It's Geoff's self publicising, self praising "I signed Rickie Lambert and left Ron Craig a promotion team" comment
It may well be factually correct, but it kind of ignored all the other sh*t
It was also a fact that they denied for eight years to try and prove that managers are allowed to manage. It also confirmed that Lenny would say anything that he was paid to say. Geoff Dunford certainly got this one right but the less successful signings will stay under wraps no doubt. Absolutely correct my friend, like a gambler who tell you he won £10K yesterday, but fails to mention the £500K he's lost in the past few years.

I'm here! That game was after Lambo left I believe, Forster & Lambo only played one game together (losing 2-1 to Orient on the opening day of the season) before Lambo left. Strung Out and I had met some Molde supporters in Manchester and dragged them to the game. One was sick outside Stockport station where he was so pissed and I'm pretty sure I was sick somewhere. I don't remember anything of the game but I think we scored twice in the first ten minutes and then just cruised through the rest of the match.

2-0 too early. I spent the rest of the game boring Chesh to death, with stories about the Eastville days.
I recall after the game or half-time your efforts at telling us about the above
