The consensus of the "wake up and smell the coffee brigade" following Steve Hamer's radio session and Wael's pathetic interview yesterday is that we are being treated as mugs.
I agree. Sad but true.
What can we do?
We can use the free press to ensure that the message gets out that all is not rosey with Smiley Waely's pipedream and that the supporters and manager feel betrayed by the promises that have culminated in the spectacular investment of a new club shop.
That press outlet has to be The Gulf News and the like which impacts on the reputation of ALQs.
The manager is now in open conflict and even the Chairman has been critical of the owners. Good material that will make the owner feel uncomfortable and will precipitate more investment or an acceleration of the end game. If the latter, let's get on with it.
Not prepared to put up with years of stagnation whilst Wael comes up with crap like that. Not when there is planning permission for a new stadium and the greatest opportunity for investment that we have ever had.
Marathon versus Sprint, it takes a long time etc. Who do they think we are? It's now or never.

Totally agree Vaughn. It’s clear the decision to exit was made at least six months ago. I just wish Wael would stop all the b*ll sh*tting and just disappear ASAP

Totally agree Vaughn. It’s clear the decision to exit was made at least six months ago. I just wish Wael would stop all the b*ll sh*tting and just disappear ASAP As much as I agree I think it’s harsh on Wael. I believe his intent is/was good but that the magic carpet has been pulled from under him. I think he can be called a Gashead without doubt but what do you do when you don’t have the backing from his family ? I wonder what his worth is singularly ? I will have to look up the contact details of the gulf news though I can’t see them printing anything critical of their own. It’s worth a try at least. I honestly believe Wael is upset though obviously not like us, who have had a lifelong connection. I wonder what John Thompson’s now obligatory seasonal book will have to say this time ? EDIT now that Hani Al Qadi has been outed as it were then don’t you think he should be actively pursued and questioned ? As I see it, he is the one making the decisions but is getting a totally free pass in this instance. In Dwane they have the perfect hiding spot as we keep being told Dwane do not do media etc. I think any reporter who would even have an ounce of wanting to get answers & maybe even some attention, would follow the money here. I’d love to see & hear what Hani has to say. That would certainly stir things up & maybe either help speed whatever happens next up a bit. What do you think of that ?

I think that things are about to get much worse.

Even the pitch is crap after all the money spent on it but Hey ,be patient!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mugs indeed with the 'Landing Lights are on' quote personifying the political waffle.Action not talk we need with cosmetic improvements simply not enough. The only team with tents for stands and still no concrete ground plans despite all that could have been done during the wasted UWE 18 month debacle.

I’m interested in how you say the pitch is crap. It looks very good to me but maybe you know more than me as I’m certainly not au fait on pitches and how to make a good one. I do know that cricket clubs certainly can make a “home” pitch for sure. The pitch looks great to me

Pitch yesterday not good and cut up badly.Speculation there must be a drainage problem. If you watch the 'Highlights',you'll see it doesn't look brilliant.
This from the other Forum. ------The pitch doesn’t look great but I have seen us play on worse at the Mem. It needs another good sorting out at the end of the season.
The pitch is the same for both teams playing on it on that given day. It doesn’t help us play attractive football but we can still grind out results on it.

Henbury
With respect, you just like to tease.
With respect to Steve Hamer, I will write to him to say enough is enough and it is time that the other side of the story is put out on the other side of the world.
I am not interested in feelings of Wael. He had his 15 minutes of fun in the Gloucester Road evening sun.
The writing is on the wall in that there will be no significant investment in this FC.
I will keep you posted.

I think you need to slow down a little, because this petulant course of action is going to cause nothing but harm to the club. If the UWE stadium, under the terms that the university were imposing, was "the greatest opportunity for investment that we ever had", then it was not much. We haven't got the Venky's, let alone the Oyston's in charge.

Ye, let's find someone else to chuck £12 mil at the club, there are loads of people, I shall just walk out the front door and ask somebody.

Let's see about that. 6 million in directors loans which we owed to previous board now still a debt but to Dwane Sports. 2.7 million to wonga which was allegedly paid off but is now still a debt to Dwane sports 1 million to buy some grass which we will enjoy watching grow but on the books as a debt to Dwane sporto so far that is 8.7 million the club owed before the take over that we still owe and a field that is better suited to livestock than football at present Before the take over we owed about 8.5 million now it's closer to 12 and the home shrewdly bought by the late GD is now at risk because it is being used as collateral to cover the debts. I don't see any money being spent on players that which was spent in the summer was more than covered by the Taylor transfer and the Chelsea fixture

Give Wael a break he is trying his best...overreaction he has already spent £12m what more can we honestly expect ...we have our own stadium a great manager and Bodin a million pound player After watching the interview yesterday how can you possibly say he is trying his best ? Wael attended Westminster School, Boston University and Harvard Business School and at any of those establishments he wouldn't have lasted five minutes if he had made such poor presentations. Not only that but how would customers, shareholders or other business partners react if they were offered anything like this by a "senior executive" at a bank ? Something is very wrong when the President of the club is given the chance to speak to the fans he professes to "love" and yet he can't be bothered to even prepare himself properly. Gasheads continue to put up with, and even revel in, this kind of mediocrity but we have been here before with Nick Higgs. Nick was clearly no mug and personally he liked the good things in life but when it came to Rovers he was allowed to get away with his blundering and blustering because fans thought it disloyal to demand better. We stayed passive then and we didn't pressurise Nick to get his act together and give Rovers the level of business performance he had achieved at Cowlin but the end result was failure with £7 million of debt. And here we are once more with owners who are supposed to be "successful bankers" but mediocrity is still the name of the game with debts now up to £12 million. Should we criticise or must we still cower in the corner and "be careful what we wish for". They've got us over a barrel haven't they ? Here is an interesting interview from October 2016 (when things were still apparently rosy) and note particularly the bit at 2 mins 10 secs .

promises that have culminated in the spectacular investment of a new club shop. I wouldn't get too excited, I can see this being a portacabin in the car park.
