Everyone likes Ellis Harrison, and he has scored some good goals to get us out of the national league and league 2. The penalty looked to be saved not missed. But He was woeful today, The ball was constantly lumped up to him and he rarely managed to control it or find a teammate. Easter (old head on old legs didnt help as he was always to far away from harrison. Bob Harris positionaly good but couldnt pass. Sweeny had a stinker.Clark tried hard but didnt look to have the ability It wasnt all bad Lines tried hard as did Bodin Gafney at least managed to get control of the ball. The referee was awful, overweight, unfit and inconsistent. Rarely did he manage to trundle more than 10 yards from the halfway line.

Gutted. As soon as Harrison took the ball from Bodin I knew he'd miss. I personally like Ellis, nice chap but he has now gone a whole season without scoring in consecutive matches, unfortunately we have clearly progressed beyond his ability, he may 'only' be 23 but that's the same age as Lukaku and Kane and that hasn't stopped them delivering week on week at their respective levels, I think he is currently just not up to the standard. I wouldn't bet against him dropping down and working his way back up though.

I hope Wael, Hamer & DC aren't planning on having too much time off this summer, hell of a lot of stuff needs sorting out, this is a make or break summer. Would of happily taken a top 10 finish at the start of the season, but the way we bottled it in these final stages leaves a bitter taste, a real pathetic end to the season, and the constant instability off the field needs to come to an end aswell.

As soon as he missed I knew there would be inane comments! Exactly, that Taylor bloke missed one for us at Grimsby, and he was rubbish for us in every game after that. Ellis is a young man learning his trade in a tough division filled up with wise old coaches and tough pro players who have been round the block.

PANIC!
f**k me, are we just scraping survival or comfortably mid table with a nagging frustration it could have been more?
By all means ask questions, but save the hyperbole until we are utterly crap at the bottom of League 2, year in, year out... again.

Good enough to be a mid table side at this level. Sadly with the current squad, will struggle to better that next season. Similar to many sides, investment in quality strikers and defenders needed. DC can only do so much with limited ability within the current squad.

Did you used to be one of the moaning old blokes from The Muppetts? If so, can I get an autograph?

Started watching Rovers 50 years ago when they were pushing for promotion to the second division and blew it in 1966/7 ..they had a real chance to make the play offs this season. But defeats at Bury and Coventry City really blew our chances. So league one football again...a few seasons of success in 50 years but regretfully no championship football in 2017. Very disappointed to be honest. Hope we can hang on to DC and Bodin. We need to recruit two experienced strikers and try and get Lumley on loan again. Same as me harry. I hope the next few years are like those 66-74 when we were usually up there battling for promotion esp 69 onwards and a few cup runs thrown in. 67/68 and 68/69 more mid table but in today's times we would have said we were pushing for the play offs! We should be very happy at a great season and I am but I also feel a few "ifs and buts" because actually had we turned some of those away defeats into a win and a few draws as we should have done then it would all have been so much better. But I guess we are Bristol Rovers and we truly have got "our Rovers back!"

The referee was awful, overweight, unfit and inconsistent. Rarely did he manage to trundle more than 10 yards from the halfway line. Many of the referees this season have been awful, especially away from home. Yesterday's (Richard Clark / Northumberland) did look a bit portly. However, in fairness, I thought he did a decent job; I'd certainly put him in the top 7 of the 14 away games I've seen this season.

The new stadium, will it or won't it happen. Not instability, more a way of life with Rovers! UTG!

If I was a betting man I'd have put money of this happening today. Old habits and all that I'm afraid it's all too obvious Clarke ain't the messiah everyone adores said about October he needed a experienced ssistant his management away from home is relegation form I have to agree with you Dave. I also have to say that I personally apologised to him after the promotion back in the FL. My own reasons for saying I would have bet we would have lost yesterday were not about him though but more in that I think we are nowhere near ready for the next step and I still think we can conveniently drop points when needed. I know it sounds paranoid but I will start to believe the new owners are truly going to get this club going when I see some real intent AND MONEY spent. I'm not talking vulgar amounts but decent amounts for decent players. For what it's worth I don't think we would have done any better with the snake. You are spot on about our away form mucker. It's been 5h1t all season but to play so well against the better sides only to get taken apart by the lower and relegated sides just raises a huge red flag for me. The honeymoon period is well and truly over and now we will see if we have yet another summer of much talking but no doing or if we see some class brought into the side. We need to be offering decent sums for both Lumley and Sweeney even if refused. We need a couple of strikers are I'm afraid a fair few now need to go. DC kept Higgs promise of offering new contracts to all and is not held to that now. We now need that stat guy to provide some decent intelligence on players available and willing to come to us and do a job. Gutted as the Millwall game really could have been a game that had something in it. Now it's just a dead rubber. If I could bet sensibly I'd have had a fair few quid on that result yesterday. It didn't help to hear the 82 tell me how brilliantly the snake 🐍 played either. Cnut

This is a b bore, it's 4! 4-0 It's not all bad news, the Swindon chavs will be angrily glaring out from under their Burberry caps and looking for some 10 year olds to beat up, they are 5 mins away from being relegated No doubt more financial shenanigans will ensue. Who seriously cares about them ? The media try to call it a Derby when we play then or Yeovil when it's anything but. The only time I habe ever given a crap is when we habe played them.

Let's put the decision on the penalty taker another way how many gasheads were confident Harrison would score ! I would have in any game but yesterday's game.
