Normally start the memories of thread, but this one has cannibalised into it..
Been twice to old den. Both early 90s.
First time, stood in terrace in corner. We went 1-0 up, went mental (as usual) only to see half a dozen various ages men doing throat cut gestures! That calmed us down a bit. A bit like The Ducky Boys on the film The Wanderers..
Second time was the infamous last game at old Den. Passed the new den finishing being built on the way as we tubed it in. Already relegated, we won 3-0 thanks to Mikey Davies (whatever happened to him?) which sparked crowd scenes rarely witnessed. A lion walking on a roof, for one!
On one of the numerous pitch invasions, one of their 'fans' threw a rock at us in away end....unfortunately, he threw it too well and it went on away end roof! Heard Colin Howlett got bombarded with bits of pitch as loads were dug up..
On a mass pitch invasion, we had no police as a barrier, just a few stewards. It could've been alot worse but I guess we were lucky Millwall were in good spirits!
My Millwall memories, I missed the coach to the infamous 75 end of season game,I was gutted...until my mates got back and told me how bad it was, remember we were all about 15 and 16 then and they had been attacked and chased by much older blokes, one lad had his nose badly broken and never went to football again, another was stabbed and then kicked when he was on a stretcher. I am sure that contributed to the bad feeling at the Panorama game,I was in town that night for a Clash gig at the Exhibition centre, thats when the trouble was,the BBC should have had their cameras on the Centre that night.
I went to the last game at the Den,it was a really good day out,yes it was a bit tense when they invaded the pitch, they also pulled the goal posts down and I think the game actually finished after 87 or 88 minutes. Went to the New Den in 96,had a good day in London, didnt think the atmosphere was as good in the ground, because its all seater I suppose. Surprised that only 300 tickets have been sold with Rovers doing so well, there were lots more than that both times that I went.
Ellis / Gaff conundrum is a Trojan horse. Opponents just don't know!
I'm happy with the physical midfield balance. Good starting lineup imo..
No Morrison for Loons, sorry Lions (pred text error!) should help us.
Another trivia of note: We have a predominantly Championship referee today. As much as we've had some sinkers this season which (to me) seem not much better than the Conference, it may make a difference to get a better quality of official, considering our disciplinary record. 50yellow cards in 16 matches this season!

Millwall deserve nothing other than to be chucked out of the League, along with Chelsea, West Ham, Leeds, 1982, Swindon, both south Wales teams and a few others, then they can all set up their own competition where they can punch the living daylights out of each other and leave us to watch our football in peace.

A select group there, Bambi!
Psssssst. Don't mention the police horse incident. I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it..
(mind you, we were technically not in the league at that point in time, so best ask Mike Jay whether that actually counts! Haha!)

The Police horse was a Millwall fan, and he started it.
