Trymer the man! Just bout sums it up.. Cheers mate..... I wonder if there is enough interest for a permanent attendances thread ? could be relevant to what size stadium Rovers need in the future.. I think that clubs need to start thinking more about providing whole stands for elderly supporters and supporters with disabilities and their carers. It looked like at Chelsea (I know your feelings on another thread about yesterdays match) that the whole of left hand side (as looking from away end) the first row seats were accommoding disabled / carers / extremely obese (?). It wouldn't hurt to make the first row around whole new stadia priority seating for those whom feel they may struggle with steps.. Sorry, off topic.

Incredible allegedly in California and can find nothing better to do than post on Bristol's best forum. What an incredibly dull person I'm here for work bro and I was in bed in my hotel. Thanks for caring though. Funny enough my one post wasn't exactly the only thing I did last night. All of this is noise. We are still the better club - as always. You currently have bigger crowds and a more modern stadium, only for now. Out of interest what other aspects would you say make you a better club? Is it the identity, the club anthem, the percentage of loyal away following compared to home, this week stands at around 0.3%, what is it that makes your club so much better?

All of this is noise. We are still the better club - as always. So, how many minutes do you get per-dollar on the pay-per-view adult channels in USA hotels these days? You are going to have to define 'better' for us Kaiser, better at what? Attacking away players, stealing your own club's merchandise so that the club won't allow its own supporters in to games wearing shirts unless they can prove they have purchased them, having a Director banned from the game? Shall I go on?Mind the gap Oh, and good luck against the shambles that was once a PL club, Villa, you'll need it or it'll be 3 defeats from 3 against teams that, come May, won't be propping up the table.

Seriously can we just delete this thread and not talk about them, let's not drop to their levels with their 300 page thread on how they're not obsessed with us.

Something in the back of his mind keeps telling him that blue is actually nicer than red, that it's not good to burn down your own community libraries or go bankrupt and not pay small local businesses. He'll be in a Rovers' shirt, singing Irene, loud and proud before too long. Like all of these issues, as soon as he accepts that he has a problem he'll be on the road to recovery, his presence here is the first step.

As I said its just as much your lots obsession about Rovers attendances / away followings on OTIB....but why ? The answer is that your more sensible supporters have realised long ago that city cannot get enough support to sustain top flight football whilst Rovers exist ! Norwich,Newcastle,Southampton,Ipswich etc etc have a monoply in their own cities, city do not.The best chance city had was 2 seasons ago, they were recruiting in schools in the area big time ( blokes I know with kids at school told me this) if Rovers would have stayed in the Conference when city got promoted to the Championship it would have been very nearly game over. city supporters that I know tried to take the p1ss when I was going to away games that season, I soon shut them up by telling them that whilst thousands would rather watch Rovers in the Conference than go and see city it means that city will never sustain top flight football, they didnt like that as they know its true. I admit that I do have an interest in attendances and away followings ( not just Rovers and citys) I think that average age of people going to football and the attendances can show us what the future will be for our clubs.. There's an awful lot of truth in that, and they've missed their main chance now too cos we're definitely on the up. Kaiser can huff and puff from wherever in the world it is that he claims to be, we've had Withywood, Wycombe and now California so far, but he knows the truth and so do we. You'll never get rid of the Gas. I am on @charlie52150740 for those Twitter minded folk. Charles being the lovely middle name my folks gave me...

And my old grandad was from Withywood back in the 1940s. A decent group of people then.
Actually he would go and watch both Bristol clubs in the 1950s.

How's the weather is sunny California now? I'm surprised that you should want to spend your time posting on a BRFC forum, when you have presumably the whole of the West Coast at your mercy. Funny lot, these chaps from BS3.

Was he old when he was in Withywood back in the 40's? Is the reason your are alluding Withywood to be less decent because he left? Do you think that the fact that he would go and see both clubs was a sign that he was more rounded than you or that you have a history of confusion in your family. You seem to think you are a rovers fan but talk about city!

You seem to think you are a rovers fan but talk about city! I am also a bit confused as according to Wikipedia 'Withywood a large estate begun in the 1950s'. However my grandfather also went to watch both Rovers and city,he only took me to Rovers as the car park situation was better at Eastville( the Muller rd car park was massive then) High prices mean that very few would watch Rovers and city now ( its also much easier to go to away games now) and gradually there has become this almost unhealthy hatred.

Withywood area as it was then. He left and moved to Kingswood where my father was born and I am from Downend.
Yes he watched both clubs and cricket in the summer.
My dad never watched both clubs just us. He went down there and watched us in the top division of course.

Yes there were a lot of people who went to city in the top division, mainly to watch the big clubs I expect, there were 2 big crowds Liverpool and Forest the most succesful clubs in the country then. I wonder if he carried on going for the next few seasons ? the record breaking first to second to third to fourth in succesive seasons ! then financial collapse in 82. I hope that he carried on following the new club bristol city 1982 after the old club had died.
