Reckon the inbreeding is beginning to show.

I think its more your lot talking about Rovers away support, there is a thread on OTIB titled 'Rovers massive away following'. Ok last night was a glamour game and people will always go to games like that in numbers, but even you have said in the past that Rovers away support is good,we all know that week after week Rovers will have a good following at places like Morecambe,Accrington even taking a couple of hundred to Hartlepool on a tuesday night is pretty decent.

Correct I have said that and stand by it. I'm currently in California but if I were home would I have gone to Scunthorpe. A s**thole of a place on a s**tty night for a tinpot 2nd rate cup? No I would not. League game yes. So why the big deal beats me. When people obsess about how many fans it's usually because the team isn't as good....

s***heads have only sold 72 tickets for scunny....massive club It will be so different when they are up against Real Madrid. It's their destiny don't you know. Do you really think that Madrid are going to fall that far with the money that have behind them?

Maybe there were more S*Heads in the home end as they were completely embarrassed by their away support?
Respect to anyone whom travelled, but that is a woeful amount of away fans considering '82 is meant to be a 'big' club.
No matter, I'm more than happy with whom I support (as in support and actually go) as opposed to the red lot.
72.....72??....didn't you just want 10 more to go to make it an appropriate number?! Hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha your support is embarrassing!

You're in California, yet still feel the need to post on a forum about a club you don't follow? I think you need to try the nightlife.

Why does everything have to be about comparison to them? Of course we’ll sell more tickets, for a glamour tie, that’s half the distance of Scunthorpe! Who do you think would of sold more if they were playing Chelsea & we were up at Scunny tonight? Just cos they’ve only sold 72 tickets, doesn’t really mean they’re a small club. You could argue that the smaller clubs take more fans to the meaningless EL Cup as it’s their cup final & only chance at a decent day out. Bigger clubs fans don’t go as they have big games every week! Why the constant fixation with City? Yes we’ve had a good few years, but they are still better than us, bigger than us, have a bigger ground than us, in a higher division than us (as always!), have better players than us, and are/have been for years an all-round bigger club. As much as we don’t like that, it’s true, so why bother wasting time on them? I smell a funny smell. and they pretend to be gasheads

I have to agree with some of this, look what the crowd was when we played Cardiff, if that was a league game it would have been a sell out

As I said its just as much your lots obsession about Rovers attendances / away followings on OTIB....but why ? The answer is that your more sensible supporters have realised long ago that city cannot get enough support to sustain top flight football whilst Rovers exist ! Norwich,Newcastle,Southampton,Ipswich etc etc have a monoply in their own cities, city do not. The best chance city had was 2 seasons ago, they were recruiting in schools in the area big time ( blokes I know with kids at school told me this) if Rovers would have stayed in the Conference when city got promoted to the Championship it would have been very nearly game over. city supporters that I know tried to take the p1ss when I was going to away games that season,I soon shut them up by telling them that whilst thousands would rather watch Rovers in the Conference than go and see city it means that city will never sustain top flight football, they didnt like that as they know its true. I admit that I do have an interest in attendances and away followings ( not just Rovers and citys) I think that average age of people going to football and the attendances can show us what the future will be for our clubs..

There's an awful lot of truth in that, and they've missed their main chance now too cos we're definitely on the up. Kaiser can huff and puff from wherever in the world it is that he claims to be, we've had Withywood, Wycombe and now California so far, but he knows the truth and so do we. You'll never get rid of the Gas.

Incredible allegedly in California and can find nothing better to do than post on Bristol's best forum. What an incredibly dull person I'm here for work bro and I was in bed in my hotel. Thanks for caring though. Funny enough my one post wasn't exactly the only thing I did last night. All of this is noise. We are still the better club - as always.

I think that clubs need to start thinking more about providing whole stands for elderly supporters and supporters with disabilities and their carers.
