With over 9,000 tickets sold prior to today's match we'll likely go into our first home league fixture in front of a five-figure crowd.
The recent win over Cardiff and date set up with Chelsea has reignited last season's flame. Oxford should expect a hostile atmosphere as they take the field today.
Last season Rovers went away to Oxford after they dumped Premier League Swansea out of the cup and triumphed with a slightly unexpected 2-1 win. It's our turn to face Oxford after knocking a higher opposition out of a cup.
The bookies have us favourites at 6/4 while an away win sits at 2/1.
Here's what Darrell Clarke had to say ahead of today's game:

We pretty much controlled that from start to finish.
Midfielders covered literally miles dragging O's players around to give Lines room to play in, and he didn't waste the opportunity.
2-1 loss flattered them.
They won't survive in this division with hoof-and-hope park football.
Some things never change, truly dreadful officials. Ref a good 2 stone overweight and desperate to be the centre of attention. This is professional sport, if the pay isn't high enough to attract people who take the work seriously, then they need to pay more.

Midfield was fantastic today, as was most of the team.
Anyone doubting Ollie Clarke (it's fair to doubt any player) could surely see his breaking move up interception? I thought he kept the mid ticking, had a couple of pops at goal and cleared up around mid. Good game.
Lines was brilliant.
Taylor looked absolute class coming on. Seemed to ooze time on the ball with his control and movement. Capped two in two league goals by suicidal defending, but he had to be there to take advantage. Excellent.
Once again, a great team performance. Other notables Locks, Montana, Easter, James Clarke going forward, Locks, Milds positioning and never looked out of depth.
Disappointing Bodin & Gaff, but today wasn't their day. Others picked up the pace, but they put effort in.
Again, we looked more than competent in handling this division. We rode luck in first half, sure, but overall a brilliant display of controlling possession and confidence at home in a division that feels more home than last year..

Ollie Clarke was immense today, Lines did well too, but Ollie was the main man reminded me of Stuart Campbell at his best; fantastic to see two Bristolian chaps controlling a game.

i was a bit worried with the team selection but dc got it spot on again with a very good win. somebody on here felt that oxford were poor but i thought they were decent especially the forward who scored and the no 7 and for me we didnt dominate until the sending off. easter, lines, montano and ollie clarke were our best players today for me.

Personally think 3-0 at half time wouldn't have been unjust. Their equaliser was a smash & grab on their part, having deserved nothing for the first half show. How Ollie Clark & Lines covered those miles today after 120mins on Thursday night I'll never know. They were immense today, as were Montano & James Clarke. We were solid all over the pitch, controlled the game from start to finish and as said above, 4 or 5-1 would have been about right! Didn't feel like they had anything about them at all, chucking the ball into the ginger bloke all day long was the only outlet. It worked once for the equaliser but felt Macca Maldini and Locks had everything sewn up back there no problems. (How the hell did they miss that sitter at the end mind?!) Great day all round and three very deserved points. I'm off to pee on Appletons rug.
