We also ought to sing for him " He's one of our own, Ollie Clarke, he's one of our own". So pleased to see him performing at such a good level. James Clarke has been fantstic too, what a find by Darrell. Although I have to say they've all stepped up since last season, to think most of the squad were playing non league football two seasons ago, just amazing. Have been very impressed with Hartley too and thought Luke Jones performed well. Hoping it will start to click for Rory soon in front of goal, he certainly controlled and held the ball up well today though, fabulous finish by Easter today. A well deserved win I thought, well done Darrell.

This shouldn't be allowed to become an Ollie thread as I think I see his contributions for what they are.
Just....it seems there are a few whom have already written him off as not good enough in this division. Full stop. No coming back. It goes quiet when he plays not up to standard (save a few).
But.....think of this: Ollie, Matty, James Clarke, Mildy, Stuart Sincs, Ledbetter have all played important roles already so far. A good start. These players (rightly so) have to prove themselves for their past and I see some great potential in our own breed and ex-conference players.
They may well be rotated, and rightfully exposed weaknesses, but a good manager concentrates on a player's positive aspects......and while doubters of the above have a valid point, equally I put forward the performance so far has been encouraging and should therefore be nourished - not dismissed.
Well done so far old players, our own players and ex conference players! This miss match might actually be ok in this league..

Mildenhall - solid. Didn't have too much to do. That's down to the team. J Clarke - improving. Gives us flexibility in different types of games like today. Committed Lockyer - decent but missed the header for their goal. Usual Tom performance otherwise McChrystal - solid. Shows the strength of the squad O Clarke - one of our fittest players and is still improving. Played very well today. His first time at this level we mustn't forget. Lines - working harder. Caught in possession for the goal if I'm wrong tell me. Always a threat though. Had a good game Montano - very effective but crossing needs work Gaffney - works hard. Should have scored first half. Needs to improve touch. Still a vital player Easter - best ive seen him play Bodin - looked off today Harrison - strong and plays well with taylor. Completely different to when he went out on loan. James - needs to stay on his feet. Did a job. Taylor - the difference. Nuf said

As my companion to my left pointed out : players are credited for 'own goals', so perhaps they should also receive an accolade for 'own assists'. Their centre-back picked Matty out brilliantly for the winner!

Oh and browner- same old. Forgot about him. Longest serving player? No, Harrison is the longest serving player in terms of when he made his debut, followed by Clarke. Brown joined after the last League One relegation.

I didn't think oxford were much cop to be honest. A bit like barnet last season. That wasn't the same team that came second last season. Shows the value of roofe

Tiler and Eaves, too, I believe. If Taylor had gone there he would have had less chances to score from. This Rovers team creates so many chances it's easier for a good striker. They're hopefully being found out by promotion. As Wimbledon proved again tonight. Hopefully we can buck the trend.
