If that isn't a sign of intent from Wael and the BoD then what will satisfy the snipers, not only will DC become the best paid manager at the club in it's history but he will also be given a fantastic budget to work with to realise his ambitions as a manager to manage as far up the FL as possible, onwards and upwards, great new, keeps the momentum going IMO. Hopefully they'll up there offer to Billy Bodin to stop him going to Gillingham Would be crazy to let BB go, Gillingham of all places!

Fantastic news! Hope the idiots don't start wheeling out the 'highest paid manager in history' statement after every bad result. they will Surely with football wage inflation most managers become the highest paid manager ever at that club? It's perfectly reasonable for a new manager, let alone a new contract to retain such a successful incumbent for longer.

The wait is over....and this is great news. However, I am still waiting on certain individuals (like Jon the Stripe) to reveal what "they have heard" about all not being rosy with the new regime. Care to elaborate? 1st Major Test for new regime - passed with flying colours. Real outcomes speak louder than Forum words (there is another term or it) is the message. Sorry to disappoint you. I'm jogging into the sunset........

"I have heard" that the view is wonderful when you get there. I hope that you find a quiet spot and there is no dangerous talk or anyone representing OTIB when you sip on the balcony.

I think a couple of you underestimate the greatness of this news. DC hasn't turned down that batty LUFC president. He could do that without signing this contract. He could have waited for the next, better, opportunity later summer. He did not. He signed. LUFC interest must have added more than a few quid. Plus strengthened DC's influence and control at BRFC. But he signed. It's still May. Last season's still playing for playoff clubs. He signed in May. Now he can focus on player signings. Now, not after he signs later. It is done. I think this is absolutely fantastic. Great post but a little understated for my taste!!

Moral of the story.....don't listen to bookie gossip, rumour, counter-rumour or idle gossip, or newspaper tittle-tattle.. Wait for the facts. Ha, ha, there'd be hardly anything on this forum or any other forum for that matter if we applied that common sense approach

There is going to be a fair few people disappointed about this. I wonder how many managers were hoping Darrell would leave so that they could join us because clearly our club is on the up and is going places. They would have seen us a the perfect job. New stadium (hopefully) and new owners with a big fan base and a double promotions. Like I said, there will be a few people disappointed about this. Martin Allen probably

Excellent news for both the club and the supporters.
Lets hope that we can kick on now with the recruitment campaign, and re-signing one or two that are now out of contract.

I'm jogging into the sunset........ Jon the Stripe, don't let this get to you mate. I just quit on saying anything that had be *passed* onto me as I realised, too late in, that much was disinformation but I had hoped that this kind of thing had stopped, given the change in personnel and certain loose lipped individuals not being close to the decision makers. I would think that, if anything, any information coming out now would be more guesswork that's fact but we shall see. Dont let it get you down mate. Wishing you and yours a good summer. UTG
