Camping? No thanks. You guys might be used to travelling around and moving sites, playing with tents at one end of the ground etc. But that's not the circles we mix in now. bugger me, have the csf gone up market then?

OTIB is ok if you don't take it too seriously.
The moderating is appalling. Particularly one woman on there with little in her life I believe but BCFC if her time on the forum and on Twitter is added up.
I was suspended for criticising the club had a jobs for the boys culture with Alan Walsh, Scott Murray and have posted incognito ever since.
I use it to discuss the game on a Saturday and Sunday but during the week it's best left alone.

If you recall the legendary leader even went to a Rovers game with the club chaplain....

Kaiser is right, league one is s***, living in chippers i know a number of swindle fans who say it's a poor league and they're a poor team in it. I will disappointed if we're not challenging for a play off place. Most of the squad are under 26 and improving all the time, and lines is a league one player anyway. Two quality additions, that's all that's needed.

The step for you to L1 from L2, I seriously don't see anything to bother you. The sides coming down are in a right state - maybe aside from MK structure wise (I can see them being near the top).
The difference in the step up we had to do L1 to Championship is colossal. You go from defending against Fleetwood to defending against players who were playing at Man Utd and Arsenal the season before. And it feels like it too. There's just no easy games in our league.
Whereas L1 there are plenty of sides you can roll over.
And yes Swindon are a very poor side.
Let's see how Burton get on v Aston Villa, Ipswich and Newcastle next season....

Lucrative fixtures?!? League 1 is a s***hole full of s*** clubs with tiny little s*** grounds. With the exception of Sheff Utd and Coventry, it was a league I was embarrassed to be in! How disrespectful to genuine fans from clubs with history. And the ones with a limited league history, a pyramid system that has allowed them to rise to compete with the 'mighty' Bristol Sh*tty. Your attitude is the only s*** thing, Mr Kaiser. We're where we are and are rising with humility and dignity. I'm proud to have supported the club I love at the more humble grounds and clubs around the country. Mostly, we have been welcomed and appreciated (see Eastleigh letter sent by their chairman), of course there is imperfections along the way, but I think most travelling Gas are far more respectful to their surrounds than to label everything a s***hole, s*** ground just because they don't have billionaire, megalomaniac owners! Shame on you.

Now now as a pair of gents living in Oxfordshire we should be able to discuss the fortunes of either Bristol club over a Brakspear ale should we not? Well the only time I have ever been on OTIB (what a laugh that is) was when I was asking for good luck messages. As for Brakspear, as an ex landlord it is dirty water! would never stock it let alone drink the stuff, Wychwood is the drink of choice. Wychwood brew Brakespear since Brakespear sold the brewery in Henley on Thames, always gave me heartburn when it replaced Hook Norton in the Five Alls,

Brakespar are a small punch / eneterprise outfit. Screwing it's landlords, but this is a football forum done that debate in the house of commons and lords and thank god out of it now.

Third round ties I said. They can be lucrative fixtures, depending on the draw. This thread was about hoping to balance good football in the top half of the third division with attempting moderate FA Cup success. What are you so getting so sweary about? At least wait until you're relegated and the derby's back on.

I'm absolutely delighted that we managed a top 3 finish and it's an awesome achievement by DC and the boys, but it didn't shock me if i'm honest. It was clear from the 1st half of 2015 that we 'had our club back' and had quality and passion on the pitch. Togetherness, fight and a settled squad/manager will get you minimum top 7 in L2 and you could see we have added quality and developed some along the way!
I won't be complaining if we ended up around 15th/16th next year, but I firmly believe that we can be in the top 10 pushing for play offs with no more than 1/2 signings providing we can keep our team together. We've all seen by now that lower league players can climb the leagues with a good attitude and hard work. We're lucky enough to have a squad full of these types with a quality manager and backroom staff that know what it means to play for us.
Very excited for next year already and wish I could be on the right side of the world to watch the games!

just because a poxy city fan comes on here claiming league 1 is rubbish dosnt mean its true,,just the other day we were non league now were looking forward to playing in league 1 and i think thats great news. the thing is lansdowne has wasted millions on bad players and managers at city and they have massively under achieved for the level of investment so who knows what we can achieve if our owner matches his business skill to our football club something steve lansdowne has been unable to do.

Nothing has surprised me over the past two years. We have been a very together squad as shown by when it goes wrong the team and DC have always recovered and usually go on a good run. But the defence and midfield are largely what we had in the Conference and DC has been very sensible in adding to the squad bit by bit and always strengthening it. He hasn't brought in too many players just to add to the squad. But I am surprised by the lack of respect being spoken on here about s*** this and s*** that in league 1. These teams are in league 1 for a reason, they are better than league 2 and the conference and not as good as the Championship. That's why they are where they are. We got out of the Conference because from September onwards we always gave real respect to all the other teams. We never acted like we were too good or too big for the league. We accepted where we were and played accordingly. This season has been just the same, we have respected the teams we played and with DC and several players coming from non league I think that helped. I also think we could do well next season but to do so we will need to keep a similar attitude and show the greatest respect to all these other so-called s*** teams people are talking about. I am more confident about DC and the team having the right attitude than some fans and let's not allow a Bristol **** fan to come on here and try and ingratiate himself by saying everyone is s*** in this league and he was embarrassed to be in it. They were in it for a reason just like us. DC got his recruitment spot on in Summer 15 and in Summer 16. I remember last Summer Camb U and Notts Co buying about 15 new players and everyone saying they would be in the hunt for promotion on the basis of the quantity they got in. We got quality in and very few of them but Lines, Bodin have been significant. With a similar recruitment policy this year I am sure we will have a good season, it might not be play offs but after the last 4 years I would settle for mid table security and sustained improvement as a club which that would be. I am made up that we are where we are and I will happily show the greatest respect to all the teams in this league and will probably say thank you to Manse for May 15 and Lee B for May 16 every day this summer! Come on Rovers! UTG! ps I'm now going to put my hard hat on because I know lots will disagree.

I'm sure Burton would love to be in a position to offer millions to players who don't want to join them...

My parents live on Cleeve Lodge Road now.
Noticed how some of these gas seemed to have appeared from nowhere lately again round there?
Used to pop into the Sandringham after a Saturday game and not hear a peep for seasons, now all of a sudden the comments about the shirt or programme my cousin and I might have....
You all been hibernating in Downend?
And no, 1982 is nowt to do with me. Take that one up with my old man or granddad. Before my time that.
