The Sh*t find a player who wants to play for them! It really is quite amusing how they still give it large about rag ass rovers, UWE falling apart etc etc. They cannot actually find anyone who wants to play for their giant of a club with their massive new stadium. Given they are now part of the Bristol sport franchise I wonder how long it will be before we see a basket ball player at centre half? They thought they would do well in the championship... Whatever happens from here (I think they will probably scrape through as it appears there are 4-5 teams who are incapable of winning a match) they have been shown up for exactly what they are, a crap championship team, struggling to win, and struggling to get anyone to play for them. And to think they all thought it was next stop the prem!

While it is easy and tempting to take the pis*, they do have a decent stadium, and have got themselves in a position for the prem. We have been trying to do the same for 30+ years. They may one year away from that dream.
Unfortunately we are a lot further behind.

The closest they got was when Lord Windyarse spoiled their party. Mr Landsdown spunked millions on that and he won't be doing it again for a while. If Bristol Rugby get promoted this season that's where the money will be going, the 82 ers will be second string to the egg chasers

have got themselves in a position for the prem. Table upside down is it? Not upside down, but to be one year awawy from the prem you have to be in the championship. They are this year, and i believe, will be next year. If Bournemouth can make it, and in recent times Swansea/Norwich/Leceister, why not them, or more importantly us?

Lansdown's fortune could easily get them into the Premiership, but it looks like he isn't willing to splash a significant amount of cash on players to get there, on top of covering their usual annual debts.
I do laugh back at City fans who laugh at us, all that money, big stadium, high wages and they could potentially be playing us next season (with a lot of luck!!)

As much as there is a part of me that wants to believe that Steve Lansdown is pulling away, this is the same self made man that is now a billionaire and really is no mug. He is quietly making changes and has now been ruthless in replacing his own son. I have no doubt, none at all, that he will not back away from making the right aquisitions to get them to stay up. He won't want such a stadium to be hosting L1 matches. unless there is some really dark stuff going on, I doubt it very much, the guy will sort it.

Old tote legend that one famous old boy had one of their ears in a jam jar in cider vinegar

If you throw enough s**t at the wall some of it would eventually stick... S**t being the operative word on so many levels. I saw on dragons den last night a self pouring beer machine invention. The Chap selling the idea was proud that Ashton Gate stadium was one of the first stadiums to use the machines. It turns out they couldn't get any bar staff either. He didn't get any investment!
