www.venuetoolbox.com/barnetfc/ASP/selectArea.asp?bookEvent=true&eventID={6CF70D32-2B06-44C1-BAD2-75D822225360}&homeArea=awayI went online earlier to buy them and only the seats were on sale at £23 each. Now they have just put the terrace tickets on sale at £17 each. Buy them online from Barnet and print the tickets off at home. I would hope we'll take a good 1500 there, so decided to get a ticket instead of paying on the day after being locked out at Woking. Can do Bristol to London with megabus for £16 return and I think there are deals on the train if travelling in a group. With it being a new ground for many (I think we only took 500 on that night game) it has the makings of a good awayday.

Very annoying for those of us who bought seats before the terrace was available.
On enquiring about swapping them, my mate was told "lots of people have asked so we've sent a list to the chairman for a decision, and we'll call you back with a decision" which is so laughable I'm wondering if he made it up!

Knowing full well the sort of numbers we will be taking, not putting the terrace tickets available online was a s***house tactic. Merely looking to Squeeze an extra fiver out of as many Gasheads as possible. I believe Pompey had the same trouble and complained to the FA. Hopefully Latvian & anyone else who want to stand can get themselves on the terrace & exchange tickets.
Wasn't until Rovers made contact that the terrace actually became available. Very poor from Barnet.

I see Rovers have now put this news on the website. May be worth someone putting it on Rovers' facebook (I'm not on it) so the message gets to as many people as possible. I rang Barnet this morning and they said that only the 800 seats were on sale, but we'd be given the terrace if we sell out of seats. I told the bloke that I didn't want to be lumbered with a £23 seat ticket when I prefer to stand, and that I'd leave it until the terrace tickets went on sale as I was sure we'd sell at least 800. It does seem a bit naughty that Barnet seem to have initially only put the more expensive tickets on sale. I can understand them not wanting to open up a section of the ground unless they have to, but now we have Rovers fans such as astafjevs £6 out of pocket. To be fair to Barnet, they've done the right thing now and hopefully people will be able to swap their seat ticket for a terrace one if they want. Now let's pack out the seats and the terrace!

They haven't "done the right thing" at all, they've invented a cock and bull story instead. And no doubt they'll use the fact they've issued e-tickets as a reason they "can't" swap them.
I'm not so bothered about the £6, but I want to stand up!

Can't help but feeling a bit ripped off here as I would prefer to stand than sit too. Wouldn't like it if we did that to away fans coming here to watch their team. Hopefully the club will do something about it.

I'm not so bothered about the £6, but I want to stand up! I meant they've done the right thing now. This morning they said once all 800 seats were sold, they would then put terrace tickets on sale. They have since changed their mind and put all tickets on sale which is the right thing to do. I realise this doesn't help you and agree they should have done this from the start.

On the subject of away tickets, does anyone know if the Oxford game is all ticket? Yes it is, information on the club web site, I believe we've been allocated 2118 tickets, come on Gasheads, lets sell this one out.

Should be a decent game. Hopefully we can carry on the winning run down there. Would be huge.

I haven't seen any of Oxfords games but I reckon this will test us to the max.

How many tickets altogether then? Because I'm guessing that 800 stand tickets must mean that at least that amount again for the terrace

All power to the internet, presumably Barnet don't realise that football fans speak to one another, we already knew what they were attempting to do ?

How many tickets altogether then? Because I'm guessing that 800 stand tickets must mean that at least that amount again for the terrace The Football Ground Guide indicates a total away capacity of 1671. "For visiting teams with a sizeable following, then both the North Terrace at one end and a portion of the Main (West) Stand are allocated. The North Terrace has a capacity of 871 supporters, whilst up to a further 800 seats can be made available in the West Stand. For teams with a small following then just the seating area is provided, with the terrace remaining closed. The facilities within the stadium are excellent and the acoustics of the terrace good, meaning that a relative few number of fans can really make some noise. This is also helped by the fact that the terrace rows themselves, appear to be constructed of fairly lightweight metal, which inadvertently allows fans to bounce up and down on them. Add into this that the back of the stand is also made up of lightweight metal panels too, that some fans were banging against, then you can have a pretty noisy away terrace! The terrace is located very close to the pitch. Leaning over from the front, I am sure you could touch the back of the goal nets! The stewarding although vigilant was generally relaxed and friendly. I did notice that the most of the singing Barnet fans tended to be in the Main Stand, rather than in a more traditional 'home end', although a drummer was sporadically trying to get things going in the home terrace". Got 5 terrace tickets for Barnet, family delighted. Really pissed off we can't be there for Oxford due to unchangeable commitments. My Last time at the kassam - Nathan Ellington was playing!
