Puts things into perspective doesn't it? The buyer rarely stumps up all the cash on day one. Initial investment will be just enough to take control then the rest is pledged in stages. There are definitely some chancers around, remember the Man U guy who came onto the pitch at Old Trafford and kicked a ball around to rapturous applause and a hero's welcome? He didn't have a pot to piss in but he talked a great game. I'm afraid that, if there is a consortium, these ex Swindon clowns are probably the people behind it. I'm sure they are promising great things but Higgs is right to be sceptical. What a shame I was actually getting quite excited. Didn't he take over Carlisle

I suppose the big question which needs to be now answered by those ITK is whether this is last summer failed consortium attempt, which was apparently B'ham, or a completely new one not involving the likes of Jed McCrory?

Didn't he take over Carlisle Yes, and he even stole the pictures from the walls before he left. Edit: From memory, Michael Knighton? Try to keep up We've already had a link to Knighton's Wiki entry where he claims that aliens had a chat with him and his wife. I'm not sure why people are surprised that he couldn't pop down the bank and draw out the cash to buy Man Utd, fast forward 20 years and the present owners bought the club with borrowed money. If Shrewsbury's owner left they would be running after him with the picture from above his desk begging him to take it with him.

It's a completely new one. - It is not McCrory! UTG! Right. Population of UK today 64,600,000. It's not Jed, it isn't me, it's not my neighbour Glen, he hates football and spends all his money on ladies of the night and cider goodness knows what would happen if he had £40m, so that leaves us 64,599,597 guesses.

And I guess it is not going to be any BCFC supporters so you can reduce that by another 2 or 3. So getting the numbers down slowly. Only 64,599,594 to go

Problem is, at this rate, there are people clinging to the prop shafts of lorries in the Chunnel and areoplane landing gear arriving faster than we are eliminating possibilities. Then add a few extra on for people on this forum with multiple indentities. Come on Jon, give us a clue........
