Martin Dobson almost qualifies as manager - 12 games in charge; just beating Dave Penney - 13 games!

I suppose Jeffery M joins the list as well, didn't DC say he once say he wanted players to join who would play in the starting 11 not just make up the sqaud numbers??

Did Les Bradd ever get a game? Les Bradd had a 100% scoring record for Rovers. I watched him get our only goal at Ninian Park in Cardiff's 3:1 win on New Year's Day 1983. It was Bradd's only appearance.
My Dad and I watched the training session at Hambrook a day or so before the game, when Les Bradd arrived. Thousands turn up to watch training at Real Madrid when the latest galactico is unveiled. At Hambrook, there were just the two of us! Should have known that then, I was at that game as well!

. . . and from the article, who was Jon Beswetherick? Wiki has him listed as having never played for us, that's incorrect. He made quite a few appearances. Played in the away game at Norwich and got turned inside out all night long. Signed by Graydoom I think.

My favourite was Cai Jin Yuan, the Chinese lad from Filton College. His brother was the noted golfer, Ho Lin Yuan.

Played in the away game at Norwich and got turned inside out all night long. Signed by Graydoom I think. Yeah - I remember him. He was terrible. Must be a fair few from around that era though I'm struggling to add to the list. Elliot Ward's contribution to the Rovers cause always sticks in my mind though. The guy has gone on to have a very respectable career as a Championship level central defender but Atkins bought him on loan as a 19 year old and then didn't play him much to general grumblings. According to Wikipedia he played 3 times but I have a feeling all 3 appearances were as a late substitute (stand to be corrected if he did actually start). Anyway what sticks in my mind is that he was bought off the bench late on in a game at Lincoln (I think it was the one in which Agogo scored and was then sent off but again, I might be confusing 2 different games) and in the last minute of the game we had a corner. Ward went up with the keeper and blatantly elbowed him in the head, a really horrendous foul that should have been a straight red card. Yet he got away with it completely because the final whistle blew almost immediately and the game ended with 21 players trotting off to the dressing room while the Lincoln keeper was out for the count in his own 6 yard box.
