Excellent news. Glad common sense prevailed.
Maybe this isn't going to be first appeal to be rescinded ?

I'm genuinely surprised.

The referee should be rescinded. Does that mean the referee will give us out money back?

Trouble is that the prize prat of a ref goes on with no apparent admonishment and will likely be just as s**te this weekend. When will justice be done and seen to be done with these people?

Don't be so silly. He had a bad game, that's all. He's not a criminal. Thanks for getting personal. But on to the point I am making. Who said he was a criminal? Justice in the sense of a football game is what I meant. Thought that would have been obvious. There is too much secrecy around what happens to referees when they have done things like this. If a player gets sent off or does something else off the pitch that causes issues he likely gets fined and this is usually splashed in various papers etc. So it becomes public knowledge and we can judge whether the player was judged harshly or not. We have no idea what happens in the closed shop that is referees. That's all I am saying! Simples not being silly thanks. If we don't see that refs are made to learn from their mistakes ( maybe they are but we should at least get some idea of this) it just seems like they can carry on being below par.

The OS refers to Saturday's card....so Sunday's card still stands.

However the recipient perceives it. But let's move on, more to life than that.

on the same lines of discipline, but this time the double yellow given to the Northern Ireland player in the Euro qualifiers last night, surely he has to [the ref] produce a card at each incedent and not as a result of the player committing a second yellow offence

A cautionable offence is a cautionable offence. As are two.

Its not for the ref to decide what a player may or may not do. He can only go on what actually happened, and what actually happened was 2 cautionable offences were committed.
