Sorry about the tedium of this post, but I found it interesting anyway.
Financial services company Marsh are considering a cash offer for Rovers Director Chris Jelf's company Jelf PLC. For a while now, Jelf have been seeking a takeover, with bonuses tied in to finding somebody to buy the company. Shares in Jelf are up 18% this morning, almost doubled in a year.
Could free his time and money up for Rovers if it all works out...

May be wrong but I was under the impression that CJ is more interested in walking away than spending more time with the club, would like to be corrected and told it's any different though.

Whilst he probably still owns a lot of shares, he ceased being the chief executive years ago. He's been semi-retired from the business for years, I think. So whilst this might make him money, it won't have much effect on the time he could spend on Rovers if he chose to.

However, still PLC Board member and is not at all semi-retired. Certainly will free time if he chooses that way.

I was taken in by Jelf at the Q&A where I told him he had spoken well. Sadly talk really is cheap and his new supervisory role of the manager was nowhere to be seen. I looked for him at the early away games with no luck; only the 'supporters' directors' were at Altrincham and Ken was the only director at Braintree.

In the interests of accuracy, Boycie was at Altrincham. I spoke to him before the game. You are correct with regard to KM being the only director at Braintree.
As for Braintree, that was when Boycie was ill and missed 4 games on the bounce. Apart from Halifax away, he didn't miss another game.

Could free his time and money up for Rovers if it all works out... correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think he's a major shareholder anymore.

He wasn't listed as a major shareholder on their website when I looked earlier on seeing this news. He has though been buying shares at very good prices (compared to todays price). And in bad news Hargreaves Lansdown is listed as holding nearly 7% of shares, whether they hold them as an investment or by way of a nominee account I don't know.

Last I could see re his shareholding was:
18 December 2014
The Company was informed on 17 December 2014 that on that day Chris Jelf, a member of the Jelf plc board, purchased 22,800 ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") into his SIPP at a price of 129.6p per share.
Julie Jelf, Chris' wife, also purchased 33,500 Ordinary Shares into her SIPP at a price of 129.6p
Following these transactions, Chris Jelf is now interested in 2,522,073 Ordinary Shares, representing 2.94% of the Company's current issued ordinary share capital.
2,522,073 shares are currently worth £5,800,767.90.
On top of this, he has share options on 762,339 shares, worth a further net £865,254.77.
Further on top, there's a bonus scheme related to a takeover over a certain threshold. On current prices, if this takeover happens, Chris Jelf could pocket over £1mill cash from this bonus scheme.
Not doing too badly.

Sorry about my mistake. Boycie is often at away games. I was though disturbed to see only Ken at Braintree, that must have looked bad to their board. However, Jelf appeared to do little in overseeing the playing side, thank goodness DC produced the goods.
