He`s desperate to play against Germany. He really fancies some shoulder of Lahm.

So FIFA bottle it,how many games will he miss between now and October, very likely less than the 10 game ban he got last time.I know it is a different era but if someone had bitten me when i was a pro he wouldnt have lasted the match,no crying to the ref, just take your own retribution and a broken leg takes a long time to heal. The man should be thrown out of the game on the 3 strikes and you are out system

Advocating breaking another players legs? Two wrongs certainly don't make a right. Disgusting and shameful comments Brian. And you were bitching about Keith Curle? Massive, massive hypocrite!!

An understandable decision, if a little harsh on Liverpool. He gets banned from Liverpool for biting, but can play for Uruguay. He gets banned for biting with Uruguay, but also gets banned from Liverpool. A bit stange, but that is the football authorities for you. No consistency. I'm pleased he's banned though, because that was disgraceful behaviour. Now he needs to seek help because that isn't 'normal' behaviour and I hope for his and footballs sake he sorts himself out.

I can't think of a more bizarre type of behaviour by a player than this, what on earth is going through his head for him to commit such a stupid action. I mean does he bite his wife or his children or any of his relatives, I mean I know some sports persons will go to extreme lengths to win but to bite another human being......

Just trying to explain the difference in the game now and when i played,we took our own retribution and was not advocating breaking a leg just saying that was something that could well happen in the heat of the intention of sorting an opponent out,ask Chopper Harris or Tommy Smith what they would have done.As for the comparision with Curle, absolute nonsense he was telling 15 year old kids to break another 15 year olds legs and not a senior professional, completely different scenarios so get off your high horse.

I stand by my comment of two wrongs don't make a right. The main thing is the scumbag has been been punished, thank goodness!

The punishment is nowhere near long enough,it should have been a lifetime ban from international games and a season, minimum from all other foorball.Nothing to do with 2 wrongs not making a right when i played you were actually allowed to tackle, and hard, and sort out your own scores on the pitch, ask Jimmy Greaves about that,.We played with a leather ball not a beach ball so you had to be hard to be able to kick it no way you could bend it.If you got fouled you sorted it out yourself and the refs knew it was happening and usually turned a blind eye. Some one bites you,you go after him and next time he gets the ball you hit him and hard the consequences didnt matter. And as for the histrionics that players do now when fouled, bet they wouldnt if they knew the trainer was on his way armed with only a sponge and a bucket of cold water, you didnt stay down long

It appears as though it may well be Barcelona and not Real Madrid, that could be interested in signing Luis Suarez from Liverpool. The asking price is (allegedly) a cool £80,000,000. Phew!! Watch this space.

Rumours today that he could play his football in Kosovo during his ban. Kosovo are not part of the FIFA family.
