Went on website today and it says that ST's for the North Terrace are now £350, not £300??!
There was an early bird deadline in April. There was a season ticket renewal deadline last week, but no mention of an increased price if you missed the deadline, and then that the shop would be closed for a day.
I check today and the price is £350!!
Super p*ssed off by this, if it is true i feel like the price hike wasn't publicised. I've gone thru threads on here and found nothing, I follow the club on Twitter and was never given the impression that the price would go up at the start of July :0(

What do you understand by "deadline", then?

If there was no price hike there wouldn't be a deadline. That's the point. Must admit its a bit steep but in fairness there has been plenty of time to get the cheaper version (s)
At £350 it equates to £15 per game, The original offer I believe was £260 or a monthly payt system.

£350? To watch 4th division football from a terrace behind the goal? Ha aha ha ha ha. They must think we're right mugs...

I think Rovers get an awful lot of things wrong, but one thing they do well is season tickets. There are ample opportunities to buy season tickets on a deal, and even at £350 , which as Tote End points out is £15 a game, it still is a reasonable price for an afternoons 'entertainment' in this day and age. It may not compare well to German prices, but we don't live in Germany! I know 5 years ago, when both my kids had season tickets as well, it worked out at £15 a game for all 3 of us, and prices haven't changed drastically since then. Out of interest, how much do you think it should cost to watch a 4th division game?

I don't know is the honest answer but £350 seems a lot of money. After some of the dirge of the last few seasons it doesn't represent value for money in my opinion. Didn't Bradford do a deal a few years ago when if they sold a certain amount of season tickets they were £99 each or somewhere around that price. That to me is thinking about prices and ticket sales, Rovers approach seems to be 'how much can we get away with charging'

Maybe what he is trying to say is that he hadnt seen a price list for how much it will be after the deadline? Just presuming.

£350? To watch 4th division football from a terrace behind the goal? Ha aha ha ha ha. They must think we're right mugs... With virtually no stadium facilities to speak off, and uprights blocking the view, it's far too expensive. Would need to know how many games are Category A (stop laughing at the back) to be able to make a comparison and see what the ''saving'' is by giving them the money to spend all in 1 go rather than drip feeding it to them through the season. (as an aside, with all the talk of possible administration, would season tickets still be valid if administration happened, or would people holding those tickets just join the queue of non-preferred creditors?) What I don't get is, when, dispite Higgs' Canute like promises, we suffered the embarrasment of being relegated to the basement division, they didn't put prices down. Now we find ourselves back in the 4th tier, we are supposed to be grateful and happy to pay even more for the privilidge.

If they were going to put the price up by £50, they should have said so two weeks ago. They would have sold loads in the few days before the deadline and those who didn't buy would have had no cause to complain. Or is that too simple?

Bought mine the week before Wembley, so convinced I was that we would win. I think you will find they actually extended the original deadline, so I suppose it is a case of "hard cheese"

Im still waiting for my will Hoskins signed home shirt from that season, for being one of the first 200 to purchase a season ticket??? and on the subject, a little reminder that if we do happen to get a new stadium? will those who purchased last season and season before...I think it was?? still have first choice for seats? im guessing that has bulls up written all over it!!

I work on the basis that at the original £260 my s/t is the equivalent of two pints a week.
Now I can live without those two pints, but not my dose of gas. So I guess it's a matter of priorities. If you don't want to pay you don't go. If you want to save money buy early. It really isn't that difficult.
Last season 6500 on average (or whatever it was) didn't have much to moan about when we got promoted, the cost didn't matter then. If it had, those that were worried by it wouldn't have attended.
Entry is not cheap, but I pay coz I love my team. People would moan if it was £10 per game.

If you can find an early bird offer that costs less after a deadline then do please share.

In the first link you have given, the club say that buying a season ticket qualifies you for, I don't know how many games they have laughably tagged as Category A, but based on normal match day early bird prices, £16 x 23 = 368, purely a guess, but if 6 games were Cat A that would add £12, so your saving would be £30, or , £1.30 per game. Doesn't sound like a ''Huge'' saving to me.

(For anyone catching up late - I've altered the order of those links to put the earliest at the top and the most recent at the bottom, so the 'first' link is actually now the third.) I guess whoever updated the information on 1st July forgot to take out the 'huge' word. At least they appear to have noticed that the first link stated "Existing season ticket holders have until Tuesday 30th July to renew their ticket for the 2015/16 season!"

Most potential purchasers will have been aware how our season tickets are sold, and any that weren't will be fully aware for next year.
