When, or if, we move to an all-seater stadium, how will it be to sit down and watch Rovers play?? Celtic are bringing back safe standing to their ground next year. www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33061483Heres a list of stadiums were you can stand watching football:

It'll be like being at most away games. Only at home.

I don't think all seaters per se kill atmosphere, it's more related to what hinges on the match itself. I have experienced some amazing atmospheres at Celtic Park, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Pittodrie, The Millenium and even Southampton! I was at Celtic Park last season for the visit of Inter Milan and the place was absolutely rocking, 3 days later I was at the same ground for a league match against Hamilton Academicals and it was like a pre season friendly. Even with plenty of terracing The Mem can be morgue like, but on occasion the place comes alive, it stands to reason that there will be a better atmosphere for a play off semi final, than for a mid table end of season match.

Do we hold the record for the ground with the biggest standing room capacity in the football league? Looking through the list in the video we might well do.

I would prefer to sit down provided the seats are wide enough for my fat arse. The type at Wembley would be the minimum standard.

But I still believe Safe Standing improves the atmosphere reguardless. And how many times will UWE be sold out? Last year I visited the Librty Stadium at Swansea. It's become a libary compared to the Vetch.

1 meter for ignorant and smelly.
2 meters for economically incompetent, that means we can watch the game without having to listen to numpties banging on about how Gideon has got everything wrong.
3 meters for poor people.

At one time I used to enjoy watching the game standing, but nowadays it's almost a necessity to have the comfort of a seat. But few grounds seem to allocate sufficient space for an average sized person when providing seating, in my experience Aston Villa is one of the worst offenders. I had to watch the game almost turned sideways in my seat because of an ''overspill'' that came along the row of seats.

One: I stand at the Blackthorn, I am not that tall, I guess I miss 40% of the action because I have to move for those that come in late, those that want a pasty, those that want a piss, those that just want to push and shove, and of course the man with the biggest head in Bristol who always stands in front of me. I want a stadium where I am DRY, and where I can SEE everything. I also want a stadium where we will be allowed to play in the Championship.
Terraces have had their day, think of families, do they want to be pushed, shoved, and have bad language shouted in the ears? Time to get in to the 21st Century

If you hate terraces so much, don't stand on them.

Why do people think that if you are advocating for terracing you are therefore automatically against more seating at Rovers? That's a massive false dichotomy.
I think Rovers desperately need more seats to attract families and casual fans to games and improve the matchday experience for certain people but I also think it is great that standing areas look like they're beginning to make a comeback in some form. It doesn't need to be an either/or choice; only the Taylor report decided frames in that way. It's not like we had 100% terraced grounds and then 100% seating or that in Germany where there is safe standing areas there are somehow no seats in the stadium. Surely this can be a win-win. There's no reason why all grounds couldn't have a decent sized standing area for the fans that want to stand. My view is that standing to watch the game is one of the things that makes football different from other forms of entertainment. I feel more part of the occasion when I stand and I like being able to work off the nervous energy watching a game that way. Given a choice I will always choose to stand to watch a football match. I think it probably does help create atmosphere by allowing fans to congregate together plus when you stand you feel more energetic; there's a reason why choirs stand up to sing, people stand up to make presentations etc.

1 meter for those that agree with your opinion on what's happening on the pitch 2 meters for those that don't 3 meters for those who don't have a clue or care what's going hopping who just want to be a pain.
