Well that was stressful. More annoyed by Taylor's missed sitter than Ellis. Very very pleased to be 1 up, well done to Matty for that well taken chance.

1-0 away in the 1st leg, job done I suppose, but again, not killing teams off when we are absolutely battering them is still our downfall.
Ellis should never had been sent off, shocking decision. The standard of officiating in The Conference is nothing short of disgraceful!

Might turn out a blessing. Still think we have the beating of FGR without Harrison. The positive being he will be rested for the final. Positivity.
Would have taken this result early today.

WTF did we do, in a previous lifetime, to have to always do things a55 backwards and the hard way. Sorry Ellis but I am ashamed of how you behaved tonight. No regard for your TEAM and TEAM MATES. It must be bloody hard for DC
Thank Feck it's over. Now we move onto Sunday and we can still play them off of the park.
Do any of the Football in the know types know if this means Ellis would get to play if we get to Wembley? Tbf I feel he doesn't deserve it after that but I am very angry that he put us at risk.
UTG. Mightily relieved Kingswood Polak.

I thought he had the right to go for the ball Have you seen the slow motion ? The ball was nowhere near him. Sorry, I have backed him all the way but that was selfish & petulant. He really is not a mature guy.

DC being unusually controversial about the ref!

I think it was a second yellow so he could play in the final.

I LOVE DC! just listening to his interview and what a man and (yes it might be for the media) but he knows what to do with Ellis. No matter what give the bloke a new contract!

Fair comments on Ellis by DC. Was daft, but the lad has come a long way from being bombed out nearly 12 months ago

Turned out to be a very good result. Well played Rovers As it happened DC stuck, very bravely I thought, with 2 up front. I've not seen him be so bold and it suits him. I'll say it now, just get it off of my chest. I was wrong on DC. I think he could turn out to be a great manager and if given backing, could see us go places. I never thought I'd be saying that. It never even stuck on my craw. Well played BRFC 1883. You kept your shape and played it to your strengths.

He really is not a mature guy. It was rash of Ellis but I still feel the second yellow was harsh, especially given Clough's blatant kick on Puddy a few minutes earlier. I agree though it was a stupid and immature decision to go for the ball, hopefully he'll learn from it.

Good grief. He's a kid. A kid who has played a huge part this year. Some folk need to calm down.

perhaps those who train these officials will take a god look at these play offs and see exactly what they are [or not in most cases] producing, the general standard is just not up to what it should be,.. one offs or a bad day at the office you may put up with ,but week in and week out its just the same dire standard, and really not acceptable

Great result, shame about Ellis but older and wiser heads have been sent off before too! Let's hope we can finish the job off in the second leg.
Come on you blues!
