I've always reckoned that the club should have a cash only hut and a hut that only accepts food/drink tokens that could be purchased from the club shops or programme sellers.
Would save so much time...

As I was walking out today there was one bloke smashing the pasty. Disgusting scenes.

Would save so much time... Or, like every well organised club, they could wider outlets and have multiple people serving, get Coke on tap so that they don't have to mess around pouring cans, get teas and coffee ready for the half time rush, get change organised so that they aren't fumbling around in one or two drawers, move the condiments stand away from the counter so that you don't have people messing around with sugar blocking other people waiting to be served. I wonder how many people at every game look at the queue and just don't bother? I see poor old Rob Laurence was serving in one of the grubby huts today. Oh, and £3 for a soggy beef pie isn't good value, I've seen people wait to be served, find out what the price is and just walk away.

Fair points, however: Wider outlets = Considerable expense, in regards to the profit margin. More staff = Considerable expense, in regards to the profit margin. Changing one hut to "cash only" = No expense. Printing matchday tokens, with a specific code to prevent copying on the day; that can be paid for elsewhere at the ground = Very little expense, in regards to the profit margin. One thing you do mention is in regards to the preparation of drinks: Coca Cola, tea and coffee will always be in demand. They should be constantly pouring, rather than waiting for the order. Before the game and during half time, there should be a constant stock of five/ten drinks, ready to go. It doesn't take much to judge when you stop pouring the "prepped" drinks, as the queue decreases.

It doesn't take much to judge when you stop pouring the "prepped" drinks, as the queue decreases. Easy to think of reasons not to do things It's a small thing, pasty huts, but very typical of how Rovers is run. Those huts are a bit of a mess, grubby and worn out. If UWE gets the go ahead next month then not worth spending money on, if we are staying then the RoI will be justified. Would be interesting to see how vouchers work. Maybe a good idea. But will mean that nobody holding a voucher has the opportunity to add to or change their order. And never underestimate the ability for customers to get confused with simple systems, a 'cash only' or 'vouchers only' outlet will cause confusion and raised voices when someone has waited for 15 mins to be served and is told they have to go to the back of the other queue. I can't believe that the most cost effective way to buy fizzy drinks is in tins? Edit.. What happens when a hut runs out of something and someone arrives at the counter with a voucher for that item? Or do you only print an equal number of Pasty vouchers for the quantity of pasties in stock before gates open, if you do that then you need to know what area of the ground each person holding a voucher is going into? Am I thinking too hard about something simple here?

I guess we are considered to be a better class of clientèle in the Uplands Terrace! We had 4 people serving today plus the separate table with the condiments on.
I thought the £5 'meal deal' was good value - pie/pasty, bag of crisps, bar of chocolate and hot drink.

No queues in the WSE - but I'm sure we can find dome thing to moan about if we try hard! From where I was today I could see people queuing on the East Terrace long before half time, and still queuing long after the 2nd half started. Not moaning, just saying like. Sorry for wanting things to be better for everyone.

Take it up with the francise owner, nothing to do with the club that will change with the new stadium as i believe the food situation will be run by a national chain

Agreed that the meal deal is good value. Too good value.
I bring my nephews to games and they always want the md.
Pasty = 750 calories (poss more) King size twix = 450 cal Coke = 200 cal
1400 calories in the meal deal. I'm a big lad all of 6ft 2 and 14 stone, and that meal is too big for me. However, it's so much better value. Pasty and a cuppa is 50p less.
What I want them to do:
- always have the pasty tray man wandering around selling pasties only. Drinks are what slow the process down. - do a kids meal deal with fun size choc a little cheaper. - more upmarket choices. Is it too much to ask for a falafel, basil and haloumi pasty with a bar of Ecuadorian fairtrade chocolate and a flat white with nutmeg and cinnamon?

It's almost as if we surprise them by turning up unexpectedly. I've given up trying in the Blackthorn end. The pasties and pies are not good value, how come you can get better ones in chips shops for around £1.50? I wait 'til the end and get one at £1 a go.

Take it up with the francise owner, nothing to do with the club that will change with the new stadium as i believe the food situation will be run by a national chain Ah what a utopian nirvana we will have once the mythical "new stadium" opens. Every problem we have seems to be solved in the "new stadium". Initiatives to pack the stadium - we'll get that with the new stadium Food queues - we'll sort that with the new stadium Communication between the club and fans - sorted with the new stadium etc etc In the meantime keep our head in the sand and dismiss any constructive feedback as it'll all be sorted in the "new stadium" Surely the CLUB should be raising this with the Franchise owners as it's impacting the match day experience of their customers, the fans! I wouldn't even know who the franchise owner is so how can I raise it with them? Once again it's the "there is no problem" mentality - a proper customer focussed business should be saying 'we're aware of issues and doing all we can to fix them'!
