Must be getting old I saw Southport first time Rovers played them in Sept 1967 I was a real young schoolboy then ! Recall a blonde winger called Kenny Ronaldson, a Scotsman scoring a superb goal after just 28 seconds ....but we went on to lose 3-1. Rovers in their navy blue shirts no quarters in those days and Southport in a light yellow strip.
Hope for an early goal today but a better result than all those years ago. I did see Rovers win 1-0 at Haig Avenue earlier this season with a fantastic strike from Jake Gosling.

Leaving Staffordshire at 10.30 am.Refereed Southport in the FA Cup at Macclesfield many moons ago.Southport fans very vociferous that day but don't think they will be to-day!!
