Still felt like a lot more !

Bbc say 7461.
During the match, bbc quoted 7641, so either typing error or they forgot to add away support?!

The scoreboard? We have a scoreboard? Where I stand we used to have one we could see but it went kaput a month or two back and no one can be arsed to fix it.

I stand at the front of the Blackthorn, halfway between the post and the corner flag. Teams came out - nobody stood to my left at the front. Kicked off - it was rammo with latecomers.
Felt like 8,000 in there. Can only go up from here with the next one a bank holiday afternoon kick off and then the last two being absolutely crucial. I've got my early bird tickets, get buying them now I say and let's see if we can get the club putting 'sold out' notices up on various sections of the ground

I recon men attendances are always understated by between 500 and 1000, depending on crowd size. Remember twerton - that was always 3500, even if we were playing Liverpool in the cup!

Nick Day read out at the end of the match , that the attendance was 7416 with 235 shots . From my seat in the Dribuild to me it looked an 8k plus crowd with people still pouring into the Blackthorn end after kick-off.

Liverpool in the cup was 9464, which many sources still quote as our record attendance at Twerton, even though there were 9813 when we beat c*ty 3-0.

How does the club work out how many are in the ground, anyone know ? Season tickets are always counted as being in attendance, early bird tickets are then added plus the complimentary tickets and any other pre sold tickets. What I'm not sure of is how they count cash payers on the night, I assume the turnstile operators make a record of how many cash payers come through and hand a piece of paper in to an official who then adds it all up and hey presto we have the number in attendance ! There have been a number of times when I've wondered if the official attendance is correct and last night was one of them. You only have think about how much the 50/50 prize money was in total to question the number in attendance i.e. 1st prize was £943, 2nd prize was £100. Previous amounts raised equate roughly to £100 per thousand in attendance. Now I'm not saying there were 10,000 there but the figures and the apparent few spaces around the ground give the suggestion that there might well have been more than 7,416 there last night ! I mean do you think we could have got another 4,500 in to reach ground capacity ?

Isn't the ground capacity around the 10,500 mark now the West Side tent's gone? Regardless apart form 500(?) extra on the away terrace where could 3,000 fit, the gate must have surely been over 8,500? Regardless it was a cracking crowd particularly given all the traffic problems in Bristol last night, also good to see a big crowd was rewarded with a decent performance for a pleasant chance.

If we need the win to win the league last game will we see the most ever rovers fans at the mem as we've got the away terrace?
