I definitely fancy us. Barnet have a difficult game at home to Grimsby on Saturday and if they don't take all three points then there's a realistic chance we could be top by next Tuesday (providing we, as expected, beat Altrincham and Braintree in two extremely winnable home games).
Difficult away game at the ends of the next two months - Gateshead in February then obviously the big one in March at Macclesfield but I feel confident at the moment and don't feel like we're going to lose. The key thing from now and May for me is ensuring some of those pesky draws turn into wins.

Obviously we can do it but it means we have to be on top form and lucky and Barnet have to implode. We do look pretty certain to be in the play-offs but they are a complete lottery.

i think most of us don't want to count our chickens, why put loads of pressure on the team by saying yes we will win the league. If barnet can hang on then the playoffs for us will feel like a bonus rather than we messed up by not winning the league. We just need to keep winning then who knows? loving this unbeaten mentality been years since we had it!! Why can't people say we'll win the league? If that put's extra pressure on the players then so be it. I for one won't say otherwise just incase the players get some pressure put on 'em. My boss put's pressure on me every day, it doesn't phase me, so why are footballers so precious?

Just completed the results predictor on the the Grimsby fans forum and got us as Champions by one point! That's how tight it might be come the end of the season.

If we win all our games we've got a decent chance, if we lose them all then we haven't got a hope.

Play offs are not a complete lottery, they're based on how well the teams competing in them play. In the 12 years since the play offs were introduced in the conference, the team finishing second has gone up 3 times, the team finishing third 6 times, the team finishing fourth 3 times and the team finishing fifth has never been promoted.

Apart from finishing 5th then it does seem a lottery? Just noticed Macc's current form is 16 pts from 6 games, which would have been 18 pts if they held out for the win on Saturday, compared to our 12 pts from 6 games, perhaps they are a bigger danager than Barnet who've only picked up 9 pts from 6, worryingly Macc's last game of the season is Torqauy away!!

It's not a lottery - the team that plays best in the play-offs wins the matches and goes up. Statistically, three times as many teams have been promoted finishing 2nd and 3rd than those finishing 4th or 5th. It's neither a lottery statistically, nor in reality.

If no one gets promoted does it rollover to a double promotion next season?

Whilst it's not literally a lottery, the fact one second of madness from one player in a single match of football could be the difference between promotion or not, it's a fair analogy in my opinion.

If only the lottery balls had more moments of madness. It'd be a lot more fun to watch.

It seems to me that they have fallen foul of the play-off system (different game and different rules I know, but fundamentally the same principle) a couple of times now, and it must be absolutely galling for them.

Many factors to take account of anyone who was at Crewe in 95 ,Fulham in 89 and Lincoln in 07 will tell you how much difference our fans made and also the reaction from our support at Wembley going a goal down so early almost willing the ball into the net for our equaliser if it comes down to the play offs no one will want us

A corner has been turned over the past week for Rovers.
The league is now very winnable and the job will be done with a few games to spare.
The situation with regards to the UWE Stadium is as good as it has been in months. The money will be secured in May and Sainburys will be forced to make up the shortfall on the stadium build as well.
Now is the time to build the team for an assault on the League Two title. Into the new stadium in time for League 1 football and a renewal of serious derby matches against the red side.
Life is good

FairPlay to you that made me smile,i think the same and if everyone else thought like that too the mem will be rocking Saturday and we will win every game until the end of the season, can't see why we can't beat every team in this division especially with arguably are best player coming back soon and a championship striker to add to the mix.here we come Barnet
