Osnabruck and Leverkusen were a lot of fun, Leverkusen was a bit lackluster but pissed all over the Premier League for atmosphere. They lost 2-0 to Hertha. Osnabruck was -16, they won 6-1 and it was fun even if my beer froze.

New one for me tonight - Ashbourne Utd v Longford Town in a pre-season friendly. Only real note is that Longford are managed by Neale Fenn who was most recently at Leyton Orient as Asst. Manager

I couldn't even really see the ground from the road, just a sign outside saying 'Game off'. I have tried to find something local on but it looks like a night in the hotel for me

New tick on Saturday, Corby Town vs Dynamo Loughborough. I wouldn't worry too much about Bognor, it's not excellent.

Going to see a pal in Peterborough on Saturday so taking in Corby on the way. In London the following weekend so probably going to Haringey Borough. The big one though is being pencilled in for March;
16th to the 19th
Fortuna Dusseldorf vs Arminia Bielefeld, Friday Borussia Mochengladbach vs Hoffenheim followed by PSV Eindhoven vs Venlo, Saturday FC Koln vs Bayer Leverkusen, Sunday.

I went to Cologne in about 1985 to see ZZ Top (don't ask) Cologne were home that weekend and me and a mate planned to go, I had quite a soft spot for them at the time as one of my boyhood heroes Wolfgang Overath had played for them. Unfortunately we got so pissed during/after the gig we ended up not waking up until well after kick off. Another one that has bugged me ever since.

Bet Arsenal's second scorer doesn't have his whole name on his shirt!!! HT 0-2 Monreal (13' minutes), Papagiannopoulos (24' minutes og), Özil (58' minutes)

Do Railway even exist anymore? Ive got this vague feeling they merged or went bust.Town have certainly emerged fairly recently as a significant force in non leage so i can't help thinking something changed.

I'm doubting myself now, maybe it was Town that I drove past, it was on a fairly main road that's all I remember.

Railway and Town are both still going, Railway have a superior badge though. Nothing says Railway like a beaver.

"Ok, so our nickname is 'The Green', we are called Longwell Green Sports, so what should we do with our badge?"
