Signed for C*ty on a 2 month deal apparently. Bit odd. Last I heard he was training with a Western League club then joined Mangos? Or Frome maybe. Won't take them long to find him out I assume.

If Steve Cotterill can sort Shaquille Hunter's head out, I would think that he would be a decent punt for them. Not too much to lose on a two month deal in any event, is there? It's a crying shame that we could never seem to do anything with the lad, and now the other mob may get the rewards of that.

More to the point, why was he allowed to leave?

Rovers done the right thing at the time with Hunter. Bad attitude, late for training etc, etc. All allegedly mind you before any `issues` are insinuated. But he is still young so if he has learnt any lessons from leaving Rovers he may do well at City, who knows? If he is the same person with the same attitude then the two months may become two minutes. We shall see.

Surely not!! It has to be something more sinister and the blame lies solely with the Rovers.

Agreed, but did the club do their best to manage him? Remember that it was only a few seasons ago that Liverpool were reported to be interested in signing him, so there must have been some talent there. Then he becomes difficult to manage (as a lot of teenagers do), and he's out of the door. I remember saying at the time that his talent was being wasted, and that he required a little TLC.

How do you manage the apparently unmanageable, as you can't allow one young player to disrupt the whole training ground or where does it all end? Perhaps if he was at the club now he wouldn't even try it on in the first place?

Was he any different to Harrison interms of personality/ attitude? Don't think so, maybe DC and MC would have got more from him than McGee and ward. We will never know but he apparently had the same talent/ability as Scott Sinclair and at one point Man U and arsenal had scouts down to watch him! O well

Issues or not, he just wasn't very good when it came to first team football. He seemed to want an age on the ball every time I saw him play.
No doubt he'll come good at City!

People start chucking around words like 'attitude' when they don't even know a player, it's invariably gossip and conjecture. Some players show early promise never to be fulfilled, some blossom later. I would imagine those of us who saw Simon Bryant at 18 and Nicky Tanner at a similar age would have lost a bet on which one would end up playing top flight football.

Seen Shaq a couple of times up Mem in Youth Cup matches. He failed to impress. Not doubting his ability, just his application. Looked like he had to try something every time he had the ball. His entourage was more impressive!
I thought Mitch Harding and Jordan Goddard were more effective. Look where they are now?!
Players mature at different times and rates, and he obviously has talent. With our limited funds, we just couldn't take a chance on 'attitude' players, and to some certain extent it doesn't fit in with Rovers ethos. But given time and coaching, I'm sure he may turn out to be a decent player. Unfortunately those commodities were spent on Mitch Harding et al and they got their chance for first team football. . .

No, it's fact not gossip as far as I'm concerned,. Why do you think he left mid season/contract rather than just released at the end of last season like Harding etc??
