Is that it for them now, or will they be back in a different guise?

Very sad news.Joined the RAF at Hereford in the sixties and always liked them.Total mis-management over the years and geographically in a difficult position to attract players.

For some reason this is what the fans wanted, sooner it was over and this bloke gone, then they can think about starting again. It maybe a few years but this will not be the end.

Is that it for them now, or will they be back in a different guise? I hope they come back in the future just as Accy, Newport,Maidstone and others have done but its a long road and they'll have to start way down the pyramid. There's few things worse than losing your football club.

Good and bad news for supporters, the club they have loved has died however they lost it a couple of seasons ago. This draws a line under HUFC and allows supporters to start again which, proved impossible with the old club in place.

They would be too far North for the Western League I assume - what is the West Midlands equivalent?

Do they just take a 10 points deduction or have to start again? I assume the former if Hereford CC own the ground?

Think they will have to start again in season 2015/16 - as FC Hereford or similar. Wish them well - most fans I know are relieved to some extent as fearful that the crook would simply steal Edgar St for development. This at least gives them a chance to start afresh - in which league no one seems to know yet.

Merthyr reformed to the same level all be it in the Western League equivalent.

What a shame; I always liked a night-match at Edgar Street. Their fans were a good, honest bunch.

Yes - that's what I was the equivalent I was thinking of. Much bigger club though.

It WILL be Edgar St. The outgoing cockney gangsters seem to have trashed the ground a bit and run off with all the tellys which kind of sums up what low life low intellect low class scammers that they are. Bye Bye and good Riddance. Hereford Council and the supporters trust are fully behind the creation of a new club to be tenants of Edgar St next season. This is what the majority of their fans wanted. Good luck to them.

Edgar Street is one of only 4 places I've been frightened in a football crowd.
Others are: - Luton - Cardiff (Ninian Park) - in with the Chelsea fans at Eastville when we beat them 2-1.
That said - I wish the Hereford fans well - even the ones who chased me in the dark through the suburbs of Hereford!!!

I have a real soft spot for Hereford and hope they come back as a proper club, not run by shysters and outsiders.
Brilliantly quirky ground and loud fans.

Chester started again much higher than is being suggested on this thread, don't see why Hereford shouldn't either. Apply for Southern League membership when ready I reckon.

The Southern League have set a precedent by denying Merthyr admission. I don't think they'd allow a new Hereford in unless they're promoted into that level. Remember, different regions have different governance regarding leagues.

Whilst the Bulls fan are celebrating getting rid of the "cockney mafia" you do wonder how they will be able to survive at Edgar St if they have to to start again in the equivalent of the Western League, I suppose it would be ironic now if they had to move out of Edgar St because they couldn't afford to still run it. The former Chairman really sold them down the river taking them from a established league club to virtual oblivion.

One assumes there is a hard core of Hereford fans who will go wherever the 'new' Hereford team play, much like when Newport County reformed but who starts it off ?!
