That's every other forum in the football league though. Fair silence or muted appreciation after a win and total meltdown after a loss. Human nature I guess, you're always more animated when angry. I remember the Football League, happy days.

I was t there so cant comment on how bad it was. The result wasnt great, but no point dwelling on it. We are second in the league and have a massive game Friday to win. There are areas that need strengthening and we cant do much about that until January. Blisset has been a good addition and LDV was especially with his ability until his unfortunate injury. Those two added a differe t dimension to out play. The lege Come january whena couple more loanees go back hopefully we can bolster the midfield area and find another LDV type. We have plenty to play for. Yesterdays result is not good at all, but we are in a decent position in the league which has been the only aim this season, so lets get behind them We're third I'm afraid and could easily go fifth. And what if we win Friday. We are currently in a decent position in the division. Things do need improvement but lets not be bloody defeatist just yet

Defeatist or not we're not second we're third and without kicking a ball our position could drop to fifth. Those are just cold hard ones. Facts that is.

Probably one of the worst perfromances I have ever seen from a Rovers team at home. The only positive I can take is that I am glad it was Bath who did this to us. They raised their game and deserved the win. We jumped tackles, missplaced passes, didn't comunicate, were second to every ball, were second to every second ball, didn't shoot, didn't create anything, lost possesion, were pushed off the ball. The list could go on. It was embarrassing. DC, the staff and the players should be throughly ashamed of that performance.

The only time before yesterday that we had played a serious game v Bath City was an away 0-5 victory in nov 1994 in the FA cup.

Things do need improvement but lets not be bloody defeatist just yet Defeatist a bit - a month ago we desperately needed to improve up front - we lost the ok Cunnington and the disappointing White, quite rightly I thought. However the replacements are no better at all. Blissett might have some potential is big and quick but quite frankly he looked useless yesterday - Wall and Goldberg looked even worse quite out of their depth. So we go into a busy Xmas period with a worse squad and some worries now that LDV has gone with no replacement and a young inexperienced keeper who looked "dodgy" yesterday. I hope we can hold our position over Xmas and strengthen big time in the January sales. It's omlt one defeat and thankfully in the Cup so no League damage done but we were awful and it does worry me we could slip out of the play offs if things don't improve.

Pissed off is understandable, but the comments about DC are a joke, today has nothing to do with the number one aim which is promotion, unless i'm missing something and winning the FA Trophy gives a promotion place back to the football league. Wouldn't it be nice if as much energy used venting about our defeats this season were put into enjoying our victories, both forums and twitter are like a graveyard after we win. Time to focus on the league and on getting important transfer business done in January, plenty of incomings and outgoings on the cards next month, plenty of games left to cement a place in the play offs. The concern is that today's performance was typical of recent away games but we had flapper in goal today rather than Mildenhall. Gateshead now becomes a crunch game as another performance like today's, particularly if Blisset can't shake off his injury by Friday, will really set alarm bells ringing as we just seem incapable of creating goalscoring chances w/o LDV. Yes, and we ALL know how well THAT ended :0(

it's completely irrelevant at this stage whether we're 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th, the pack behind Barnet is so tightly bunched that we will all be constantly trading positions for the foreseable future. We've got half way through the season in the playoffs being rubbish up front, no reason whatsoever why we can't do that in the second half too, especially as most of our competitors are equally as mediocre.
