I keep on forgetting we are the Man City of the conference. Rovers fans hey? Wondered how long it would be before the fans got the blame again for having expectations that are too high! If we're not Man City in terms of budget - we must at least be the Tottenham. And bath city by comparison would be.....bath city. Great result for them today - even more misery for us. You what? Lol.

If we were capable of scoring from corners and free-kicks it might cover up the fact that we're no good at scoring from open play. But we aren't, so it doesn't. We've been hopeless at corners for what seems like a decade now.

Words (almost) fail me. Apathy, pure apathy. Irony? Anyrate,Brizzle, how did we play today or any other game this season? As for Apathy, isn't this the in word for the ' supporters' who don't go anymore but shout the loudest bull from these pages? You seem a little overwrought crazytrain, try lying down in a darkened room. Works wonders, apparently, after all it was only 0-2. Irony?

I couldn't care less that we're out of the Trophy but we were absolutely awful today. That performance has been brewing for a few weeks now and I hope it will have a positive effect in terms of upping the performance levels. We should be grateful it came in a 'cup' game and hasn't cost us points.
Fair play to Bath, they played well and took the chances we offered them. Their goalkeeper was much, much better than ours today.
I'm disappointed we lost to Bath but I'm not going to go overboard, it was only the Trophy.

Yeah, can't really disagree with any of this, and it's probably the best way to look at things. It was s**t, but at least we didn't drop any points. Also, fair play to the Bath fans. Best fans we've had here all season. Shame we couldn't play them in a game where both sets of fans were interested.

270 minutes without a goal against part timers.Worrying indeed. Our forwards are simply not up to the job.Very few sides have scored less than us.We have too much mediocrity on board.

At least we can concentrate on the league . It's only a Micky mouse cup. Better off out of it!!
Downsides:
The slightly weakened team that we put out has proved its inability to deliver against lower league opposition.
Any confidence from a positive run of results is negated by abject failure.
Having also been ejected from the FA Cup, we were hardly looking at a massive fixture backlog. If we are worried about our professionals playing two games a week, God help us.
We are deprived of the opportunity of a brilliant day out (if we had got to the final). Let's be honest, our last brilliant day out was nearly eight years ago.
Yeh - we have a lot to be thankful for this evening.......

Cue the "at least we can concentrate on the league now" group...we can't continue to lose to part time teams. shameful I keep on forgetting we are the Man City of the conference. Rovers fans hey? Are you Buckle in disguise?...raise your expectations...if you aim for the moon and miss, you are still amongst the stars...if you aim for part time clubs..you will be one

We were rubbish today, I think we will find it hard to improve enough for Fridayto hold on to a 0:0 draw.
First half we did not force Bath into a sweat.
Man of the match today was Bath's no6 who sat just in front of their back four and had all of our 'strikers' in his pocket.
Clarke has concentrated on forwards when he should have gone for creative players. We created ....nothing today! the nearest we got to scoring was when Wall punted the ball back to their keeper from the uncontested drop ball.
As for people who said they were glad we lost today are not Rovers fans, I predict the breakup of the squad in January and we will finish in mid table.
unless something big happens.

Shockingly inept and gutless performance. On the basis of this one game who ever decided to sign Wall, Goldberg, Blissett, Martin, Balanta and quite a few others really should pack in the day job. Simply awful, never looked like scoring & never looked comfortable against a limited Bath City side - the number 7 looked a better front man than any of the players who have turned out for Rovers this season.
Thankfully not a League game but we cannot afford another like this & if I was DC I would be very careful about my future signings because any repeat of the Wall, Goldberg, Martin fiascos will mean goodbye!
In reality we should all get out money back after than. Hopeless!

Thankfully we can break up the squad quite radically by sending back all of the loan players. Wall, Goldberg, Martin and quite a few others are not up to the task. Thankfully January is not far away but DC needs to be ready to wheel and deal from the 1st!!

My two cents on today's performance: f**king dreadful, probably the worst I've ever seen Rovers play. There was no fight, no desire and we got exactly what we deserved.
Do I care? Not particularly. I want to see Rovers win every game they play in, that's why I part with my cash. But, will I give a hoot about today's game if, come August 8th, we're a football league club? Not a chance.

I'm glad we lost for many reasons. However I can also appreciate we played absolutely dire. Aside from the obvious lack of fixture congestion and potential injuries, I think this could be a game where DC tears into the lads for their performance and we see an improvement. If that makes me a rose tinter, not a real fan or whatever I couldn't give a s***.
