KP I'm surprised being that you have been on the forums so long that you have overseen the fact that rose tinters have been telling us for years. All the board members are huge Gasheads in it for the love of the club and plough huge sums of their own personal fortune into the club for the Rovers with no return. I'm sure Dunford being repaid a large loan is purely rumour, he is a Gashead isn't he? He wouldn't add to what some now see as financial peril at the club, surely not..... Oh, the irony is not lost upon me. The way I feel right now, I wish it would end and the fans could take up the strain. This is not anything like the club I fell in love with & had some of my most memorable times with. Was just talking with the Mrs and saying that Rovers was the one thing I could rely upon when everything else went tits up. Houses lost, relationships up the Swanee and parents dying etc but always the Rovers family there for me and us. It's not like that now. It hurts me to feel the way I do. To me that's the era of the Clubs history which was the most shameful and ultimately resulted in us being where were are now, we were pulling 10k+ crowds as a minimum yet we rested on out laurels and allowed Eastville to go to rack and ruin. They had a real chance to push the club forward and put the provisions in place to exploit the potential of the Club for generations to come. But instead they did nothing and were allowed to do so. Looking at the Clubs history we regularly got far better crowds than a lot of Clubs who are now massive in comparison to us. All the back slapping in the world cant hide the fact we had a major opportunity to succeed back then yet allowed the club to stagnate, then we blame the board of a Club far different from that Club for the present kackhole we find ourselves in. After all you don't wait for winter to fix the hole in the roof. Regards Rich Utg

Regards Rich Utg Well that's an interesting point of view and a brave one to express, you'd better let the current board know of it, they're all blaming our demise on John Ward.....oh and Lennie Lawrence also got a mention too at the Q&A session

We didn't even question the failure to build the full North Stand and Enclosure (the last time we planned and built a permanent structure) and now we don't question a tent being called a stand. We were let down when we were strong and accepted it, now we are weak we bleat like stuck pigs. Infrastructure is everything in my opinion, without it its just a matter of time till you fail again and again. Regards Rich utg

So you have no respect for the Dunford Family? Not even for things that have gone right, like getting BRFC back to Bristol, brokering a deal where BRFC actually ended up owing the Mem outright, 2 Finals in one season? You do them and yourself an injustice with you very narrow perspective on history.
You say respect is a 2 way street, well I see none for your direction, none at all. Your father is someone we all have respect for Geoff. You are someone that only the blinkered idiots who close their eyes to the real world have respect for. Don't worry through, there are loads of them. Enjoy your money. Funniest tread ever, to think you think my brother is GD you will be calling him GOD next keep taking the pills my friend they will start to work soon

How different would all this be if there was a multi millionaire tax dodger running the club. Maybe all the crap we gave the sheeds in 82 is about to come flinging back in everyone's faces

So what happens next if Sainsbury's pull out and we can only get a small sum in compensation from them thereby forcing BRFC 1883 into receivership, can MSP Cap. now force us out of the Mem if we can't keep up with the loan payments? Also if we are just weeks away from receiving £30m from Sainsbury's why have the club re-arranged the loans to pay off GD now surely he'd wait and, why, after all these years have Barclays walk away just when there seemed light at the end of the tunnel? Simply put because Barclays don't believe it will happen What evidence do you have for that please?

Why would we need loans for money that's already been spent? i seem to remember when the club accounts were discussed last year that money spent on a new development was a asset and made the balace sheet look good or for the club made it look not too bad...but if the development did not happen the money moved to the other side of the balance shhet and made the financial situation look bad. agreed the money has been spent and presumably directors loans have helped with this as the club are skint but eventually it has to be paid back. if no development no new lines of income to pay the money back and the balance sheet looks worse reducing the chance of new investment. i may be wrong with my analyses but this is how i read past comments about the accounts. anyone with an alternitive view? i still think their is a coin spinning in the air. True, but those directors loans would have to have been paid off anyway. All it means is that we don't have the asset on the balance sheet, so yes the balance sheet looks worse, and yes, expected return on investment (which would have been factored in to the vale of the asset) disappears. New investment?!?

That's assuming there's still a club to give service to? If the Sainsbury's deal goes bully up how are the club going to servive with £10m+ debts if Sainsbury's only give us minimal compensation?
Regardless if the new loans have been taken out to pay off GD does the family have any, financial, interest in the club?

If your brother praises Geoff then he's pretty stupid tbf. So because I have a different opinion of Mr Dunford than you, that makes me stupid does it? So what's tbf about that? Life on planet Dagnogo must be pretty boring if only one opinion is allowed. I respect (you may have to look that word up) all the Dunford family has done for the club to keep the club viable during some very difficult times. There is no doubt that if they didn't do what they did, when they did it, you wouldn't have a club to moan about.
