Taylor-How can he be picked every game?No competition I suppose but yet another blank. Not the only culprit but if we don't start scoring soon it will be Braintree and Southport again next season.

So so predictable. clearly Clark is clueless when it comes to bringing in players, regardless of the stage of the season. those that do arrive are no better than those already here or are so unfit they may as well not be here. and yet still some on here think dc is the best thing since sliced bread grrrrrr not a lot he can do when there is no money

That feels like a loss, certainly a lost opportunity. Time for everyone to wake up we need to get out of this division this season this is indicative of what we have become drawing against part timers it's not good enough we may well be in the play off positions but we are poor mark my words we can not settle for this dross we need a proven goalscorer or we will end up like Lincoln the next month will make or break our season if we are not in the top two after playing torquay on New Year's Day the support will drop off I fear the worst for this club

Feck me dread to think what the reaction would have been if we had lost, 1 point better off, moved up a place, good day at the office. Home on Saturday and a good chance to keep building another unbeaten run, at least tonight proved that pretty much every striker in our squad doesn't look much of a goalscorer, glad Taylor is no longer a scapegoat.
Good day at the office ... you are very easily pleased.
Lets see your positive attitude when next years Conference fixtures are produced and we are still in them simply because we did not score enough goals.... its last season all over again only this time the other clubs are so so bad its papering over the hole let alone the crack that you don't seem to see.

I always try to stay positive, drawing away games is never bad, especially against 11 defenders. We all know we don't score nearly enough goals, but we're still in the playoffs! Personally I'm confident we'll still be there at end season, which is all that really matters. That said, would have loved to see LDV and Harrison on earlier

Your deluded if you thought we were going to piss over every team in this league and get promotion. Add together the last 4 seasons plus the way the club is run and you'll find the answer to why we are having a superb season and why reactions like tonight will only de-rail any chance of doing the unthinkable and going back up at the first attempt. We are 4th in the league with another 27 games left, nothing is won or lost yet, people need to fu**ing settle down review things in January and then again at Easter. We can't change where we are at the moment, but is there any chance people could feel positive about being in the top 4 for once instead of the bottom 4. We may not be in the football league, but i'm alot happier paying to watch an honest bunch of players and a young manager desperate for success than the the shower of s**t that has been served up and excused just because we were in a division higher.

Wasn't there tonight and can't comment.
Agree with all the need a new striker opinions.
Would just like to say: We are 4th and not scoring goals. As much as we all want for better, I would take this position at start of season.
It can only get better..

Not necessarily ... everything is starting to bottleneck below ...lots of teams in and around the play offs.
Our inability to score and close out matches is already dragging us into one heck of a scrap when we could have probably been up with Barnet and some breathing space.

Seems some people won't hear anything said against DC and believe not scoring goals is the way to go. Yes we can change things now.
Personally DC has got us higher than I expected and in a good position if we can find goals from somewhere. But where he has got us is where we should at least be with the budget available to him.

If we are where the very least we should be with our budget, you should be content then!? With DC and the management / team? Personally, I think if DC continues to play strikers that aren't striking, it's an avenue to be failing in his duty of management if we fall out of the top 5..

As much as we all want for better, I would take this position at start of season. It can only get better.. Well, I was there and it isn't just a striker we need. The game tonight was crying out for someone to put their foot on the ball and pick a pass from midfield. To be fair to the front 3, they made decent runs when we had the ball, just nobody in midfield with any vision to put them through. That said, the times that the 'strikers' did manage an attempt on goal they were powder puff and lacking in any potency or confidence. Parkes surprisingly looked our main threat and should have scored twice. Once with a header that he just didn't control properly and a right (wrong) foot shot that was straight at their keeper. Quite why the lad from Fulham was kept on the bench for so long is a puzzle. As soon as he came on he gave us another dimension. He looked bright, confident & aware and should definitely start on Sat. Alfreton were scared sh*tless of us in the 2nd half and should have been put to the sword. But, a point is a point I guess, and away from home as well. It just frustrates the hell out of me that it could and should have been 3! Luckily I am working in Worksop this week, so not far to come. I do feel for the couple of hundred who travelled from Bristol though, it will be a long trip home. A win on Saturday will hopefully cheer us all up.

Can we at least try something with him not in the side, for once??

Feck me dread to think what the reaction would have been if we had lost, 1 point better off, moved up a place, good day at the office. Home on Saturday and a good chance to keep building another unbeaten run, at least tonight proved that pretty much every striker in our squad doesn't look much of a goalscorer, glad Taylor is no longer a scapegoat. Having watched the game tonight, I thought it was disappointing that we didn't convert our second half supremacy into victory, but (like you) I felt that an away point was OK, as long as we can keep building with wins at home. Anyone who saw Alfreton beat Torquay 4:2 on BT Sport will know that they have the ability to win games in this league, so it puts our performance and point tonight into some more context. (As an aside, what is it about the Alfreton pitch? Many of the Torquay players were slipping over in that game, even in dry conditions, so it was no surprise that Rovers couldn't keep their feet in the constant rain). I was pleased to note that (compared to the game at Altrincham, where there was a poisonous atmosphere) the majority of the Rovers fans at Alfreton seemed supportive. Unfortunately, I did observe a few fans who have obviously not come to terms with the task before us this year: to get as many points as we can from the twenty-three opponents we face in the Conference Premier, home and away. Four or five fans went to the front of the terraces at the end and yelled dogs abuse at the players. I can't read the minds of the other 310, but I'd like to think that at least a few of them agree with me. We all know that the goals-for column needs improvement, but we can take a number of positives from the game: Della-Verde is a class act Ellis Harrison's control was effective against the tiring Alfreton defence. He worked some good triangles with Brown, Taylor, etc, especially down the left. Ryan Brunt appears to have overcome his severe fitness problems of last year. Jamie White's acrobatic shot was a highlight. He hadn't impressed me in sub appearances at the Mem, but might be worthy of a starting place on Saturday. The players were not bullied out of the game, and were able to restrict Alfreton to few chances. No heads dropped. For the second time in four days, Rovers finished the game with a 15-minute power play.
