According to BSS there will be an 'open forum with NH soon so ask the question about Jed whatever his name is. Rian told the otber forum he had spolen to the chair and rubbished said rumour. Also adding BSS would be first to know

Wow, she's amazing, dismissing the local support out of hand, and reading this forum to get her info. What a joker.

Not sure I disagree with her this though it does seem odd that BCC just seemed to be pushing this though when in the past they've objected to all the other supermarkets having extended delivery hours.
I still sense this might be a clever ploy by Sainsbury's to get the extended delivery times approved then they will just build the store denying they ever had any intention of pulling out.

Something of more imeadiate concern to me is Jed Mcrory having a meeting with are board earlier this week! Saw a thread on this a while ago but didn't think anything of it. But I now no for a fact he had a meeting here on Monday, I'm just hoping he's been knocked back! Now is the time to make noise if we don't want him here.... Here's a sentence I never thought I'd say: "I smell b0ll0cks". Cheesy?

If true then I'm sorry but I find it both funny & tragic. They turn away Darryl Eaves but invite this proven idiot in. That about sums up Messrs Higgs & co though. Kurwa jego Mac !

Any news on today's pp meeting ? Two o'clock kick-off I think. We're first on the Agenda, after they've gone through all the usual fire exit info, etc. Agenda

Not that I expect it as it wouldn't be very good business practice, but are we even in Sainsbury's calculations if they don't believe they have a contract with us?

The mentions of McCrory are interesting as he's still involved in a court case with Lee Power to decide who actually owns Swindon Town.
Could have been a meeting to discuss possibilities if that court case falls through and Sainsbury's buy the Mem.
I'd only ever want to own a football club if I had my own wealth management firm and lived in the Channel Islands. Curious that McCrory seems desperate to own a club.

They've set aside £31m today for some new store development(s) which is no longer going ahread, surely there's a reasonable chance that's the Mem store given the sum involved?

As I say I don't expect it to not be accounted for as I am sure we are in their accounts in some shape or form, just wondering out loud as it were.
I am sure Sainsbury's are hoping for a get out today. What happens in the next few hours will be interesting and what it will mean for the next move from either side. I just don't see this be quick and easy, and just expect more of a drawn out argument over where things stand and who wants to do what

Sainsburys' CEO has made it even clearer today that they do not want to build big stores. Hopefully, the Council will call their bluff over the delivery hours nonsense so we can build for the future.

As I have no idea how Planning legislation works and assuming that the amendment to the plans is granted, what are the next steps? Can the local residents appeal? Please tell me that we can't go through a whole Judicial Review cycle again (this is just a change to an existing application rather than a new application). How many more PLANNING hoops could this go through, does anyone know?
(Of course I appreciate this is entirely different to any legal hoops that we have to go through fighting Sainsbury's in court)
