As I have no idea how Planning legislation works and assuming that the amendment to the plans is granted, what are the next steps? Can the local residents appeal? Please tell me that we can't go through a whole Judicial Review cycle again (this is just a change to an existing application rather than a new application). How many more PLANNING hoops could this go through, does anyone know?
(Of course I appreciate this is entirely different to any legal hoops that we have to go through fighting Sainsbury's in court) My understanding is because its an amendment to a existing application only BRFC/Sainsbury can appeal if its turned down and they have 14 days to do it

Councillors now debating the @official_BRFC stadium supermarket changes. Looks like most will back it, but voting soon. #Bristol

This is obviously a 'good news' story but I really, really can't get enthused about it. So many years of false hope. Default position is still 'it'll never happen' until proved otherwise ;-)

Another hurdle successfully jumped. What's next? Sainsbury's go bankrupt, Danielle Radice chains herself to the Memorial Gates preventing any access to Rovers home games all season - Rovers go bankrupt as a result. We find out it's all been a bad dream like Bobby Ewing being killed off in Dallas then stepping out of the shower and Rovers were actually in the Premier League all along. The possibilities are endless!

Not that I expect it as it wouldn't be very good business practice, but are we even in Sainsbury's calculations if they don't believe they have a contract with us? They've set aside £31m today for some new store development(s) which is no longer going ahread, surely there's a reasonable chance that's the Mem store given the sum involved? Dear God, I hope so. If the sale does happen then I will, in person, apologise to NH but only for that and not the debacle that led us into the Bananrama conference

Great see votes go in favor for the pp, I would now like to see Nick and Higgs and co to release an honest statement as what is happening next. Even if this just on the club website, a unequivocal update would be much appreciated.

Obviously this strengthens our hand, but I think it just means we are in for an even longer drawn out battle. Oh so tiring as a fan. I hope it's worth it in the end

If the sale does happen then I will, in person, apologise to NH but only for that and not the debacle that led us into the Bananrama conference I guess they have to weigh up the cost of a prolonged legal battle, paying compo + costs and having no land versus paying £30m and having the land that's worth a lot less. Pure economics will win.

Is that the mind set of most Rovers fans who have been waiting 30 years for a stadium "Believe it when I see it"
This strengthens our hand, but it's hard to see Sainsbury's just handing over the dosh isn't it?
