Utter rubbish. Its the fiercest for those it matters to and it's inconsequential to everyone else. Same as all the others.

So the fiercest rivalry in England is in Wales?

Not having having forest v derby and Ipswich Norwich above the Bristol derby unless it's because of the league statuses between the 2 over the last decade

So the fiercest rivalry in England is in Wales? In fairness, it does say "...in English football" but yeh, a bit daft.

Who are we kidding? By the end of this season we'll be three leagues apart. Why the sh1t would give a to55 about us is a mystery and we definitely shouldn't even give them a second thought at least not until we're back in the same league ... sixteen years and counting.

Its 14 years! But the points a valid one Edit: 13 years, even May 98 to May 2014 is Sixteen years isn't it? May 98 to October 14 is near enough sixteen and a half years surely? We played them in the league in 2000 and in 2001 so it's 13 years. But the point still very much stands.

I think the last encounter was decided, over 180 minutes, by King Rickie's volley. On that basis, we're still better than them

Jason Roberts brace 2000 about the only decent result in our last ten games of that disappointing season, lord justice must've been in hibernation for a couple of seasons, perhaps he doesn't even know of our famous league capitulation of the 99/2000 season.

I miss derbies. I hate them on the actual day (bundle of nerves), but the build up to the games (and after when you have won)is something that no other game can do.
Up to us to get our act together if we ever want them to return.

Not being funny, but how is the pansie derby of Arsenal and Spurs above the Bristol one? Like the discription says, both sets of fans are middle class toffs on 6+ figure salaries who don't know the words to any songs, hence the lack of atmosphere!

You can apply that to most games in The Premier League! The only decent atmosphere comes from away fans, who in most cases are generally the die hards who go week in, week out! In fact you can apply that to most football clubs in general! I agree the North London derby is powderpuff though! Chelsea V Tottenham is way more heated between the sets of fans, its pure hatred! I would also put Chelsea/Spurs V West Ham above it too! Chelsea V Millwall although they don't play eachother very often isn't pleasant either! I was at Stamford Bridge for the cup game back in 1995! The most intimidated I've ever been at a football match!

The most intimidated I've ever been at a football match! If you want to beat that then go to a game in Poland. No need to pick Kracow V Cracovia or Legia Warsaw. Just a lower tier game. I don't care how "experienced" people are, they will brick it.
