IMO there is more chance of a Margaret Thatcher statue being erected in a South Yorkshire mining town than a statue of Geoff Dunford or the UWE being built

Maybe we just need Geoff back, after all, he's single handedly responsible for all good things and 0% to blame for anything and how will you feel when we put a statue to the great Geoff when UWE is built ?? I don't think I'd ever stop laughing if that happened.

It looks like we might be in talks with Kuffour's Sutton but that's because they want White, anybody think a swap would be a good deal??

What was the point of signing White?
All the talk in the summer from DC was that White could be our 20 goal a season man, yet he hasn't got a look in!

I'd rather have the White than Kuffour ... no point in signing Kuffour at all IMO surely his time is over in full time football ?

£10k for Kuffour plus White going the other way on a 3 month loan would be a good deal. In fairness to Kuffour he has played his whole career in the football league and i think just adding his experience to a young strikerforce will be a boost. I think we are going to see a big turn over of players this season in the desperate attempt to roll the dice to get promotion, if nothing else it's something to talk about.

I agree that we've probably seen the best of Joe Kuffour, and I'm not sure he's what we need now. Tounkare looked useful when he was on loan, and I could see him making an impact at this level. Might make an interesting strike partnership with Ellis Harrison? I'm not sure about White, is he fit? Didn't really look in the game when he game on against Dorchester, by contract the young lad Dominic got in the game as soon as got on.

Think the two loanees days are numbered.Didn't feature Sat and despite 7 goals Sat we desperately need more up front to really go for it.

Tounkara is still a free agent after Stevenage released him. The kind of player who could cause chaos at this level. I never understood why we didnt offer him any kind of contract a couple of seasons ago when he played for us.

DC recently mentioned that Balanta could feature soon, we signed him nearly 2 months ago and he hasn't even warmed the bench yet has he? Here's Balanta's interview when he joined posted September 8th 2014

In fairness to Angelo Balanta, it was said (and apparently accepted by all) that he was not match fit when he signed for us. Unfortunately for all concerned he picked up an injury whilst attempting to get match fit, and is still recovering from that injury.
Anyway I think (and hope) that he will be a big asset to the club given his versatility, when he eventually pulls on the Quarters.

To be fair he's hardly played any football for 2 years!
He needs to get match fit, if he can get fit then potentially we have a quality player for this level
