You and I would do the same thing. You might, I wouldn't. Nor would I. He made his millions with the help of the workers and taxpayers of this country, then he takes it all out so he can pick and choose which vanity projects he spends it on. I work in the NHS and see daily the consequences of underinvestment due to the likes of him leaching off this country then taking 'their' ball home He disgusts me and it's nothing to do with his pet projects

Downend's not exactly the Bronx is it. You obviously never went in the trident in the 70s or the dirty duck in the 90s Or experienced the brutal mayhem when the Frenchay Massive fought the Downend Headhunters for bits of turf along the Overndale Road ghetto.

Very drool young man but I say you don't really know what you didn't experience some of those boys would be up there with the best around and talking about ghetto some of their families were from the gorbals and falls rd which make Easton look like CliftonClifton

There's almost nowhere that doesn't have that sort of element. Just thought it sounded funny.

I'm not having a pop at him or City but the best thing to happen to the city of Bristol? You wouldn't care 1 jot about him if he didn't own your club. What about the city's rugby club? His investment there will work wonders. They've been shafted badly in the last decade. Really, that old chestnut ? Have you done ANY research into the facts or have you just been another Sheep who bought into the utter crap peddled by those who know no better ? I'll not go into the story as it is in the public domain but suffice it to say that Bristol RFC would not be around if not for Rovers. Where was wonderful Steve when they were in the verge in bankruptcy? Answer that. BOTH clubs had the caveat in the contract that either could but the others share for a nominal fee if they got into financial difficulties. The Rugby would have been bankrupt and had nowhere to play. I am not trying to paint us as the saviours but we did not steal anything. Then, nothing like letting the truth spoil a good yarn

OUT OF ORDER fella , totally bang out of order. Mark Saunders was a lovely guy, salt of the earth and if he was your friend then you had a loyal and decent friend. He never denied his part in the hooligan years, there are many of us who were a part of that but it's in the past. Those who pass uneducated comment on it really need to talk to some of those people. Our own club chaplain, Dave Jeal, was one of the worst of them and yet he had turned out to be a decent guy. We have authors, solicitors, financiers and other Highfalutin positions. They are not morons. It's times like this, when I read such a crass comment, that I feel like giving up on Rovers. The day went off well with fans of both teams paying their respects. It would be good if you could apologise but I'll not hold my breath

I had my moments with them. Trouble was you just never knew when they could turn on you. They were interesting times to say the least

You realise he's a tax dodger right? How's he a tax dodger? Well ... Labour decided to raise the top rate of tax to 50% & lots of very, very rich people said bollocks to that I'm moving elsewhere. The result was that the amount of tax raised from the top rate went down. Well done Labour another great headline that cost the country money

Noticed he had a CSF tshirt on when he was giving his team talk to the squad before a home game & posing in a picture with Cotterill. Wonder if anyone in that room knew what it was all about. Most strange. They celebrate morons like this Divvy bloke, then scream blue murder when Rovers fans of similar ilk exhibit their intelligence levels. Incredible hypocrisy. That's a disgusting way to refer to somebody who has just passed away after a long battle with illness. Yes, like thousands of others, Mark was involved in the hooligan scene when he was younger. If you've watched or read any of the interviews with him, you'll know that his values changed with age, and he has been inspirational to a lot of people during his illness. It's views like yours that keep the fires of hatred stoked.

You could bet your house if Mark was a gashead and had GHS on his coffin the evening post wouldn't let it go. Not a dig at Mark who I met on a number of occasions as he was the godfather of one of my Grandson's mates RIP.

The bloke has about a billion pounds in assets. I don't think he was worried about a rise in income tax. Also, revenue gained from that tax rise was (according to George Osborne) about £100m/pa.
