We need to start scoring more goals you can't keep scoring one goal a game and expect to collect 3 points So true. Always gives a side a chance as we did at Southport last week

Radio Bristol commeNtry , fate tempters as always, 30 seconds before equaliser, "rovers have only conceded 2 at home all season" I remember thinking the same when they said it They said something else along the same lines just prior to that aswell. Buy a goalscorer Ffs

If you take Cunningham out we are left with a very poor strike force!. I think Taylor scored 1 white 0 brunt 0 and the new signing is injured.
Now Brunt is out for a month the board must get a loan in. It:s not fair to keep looking to the Cambridge man to score. For me White Taylor aint the answer...

Just back. 1-1 drubbing. How did we not win this?!
Matt Taylor will get the blame, through one on one with the keeper, but seriously Cunnington twice should have squared to Taylor and shot from impossible positions, we also had 2 or 3 moves that set up great chances which were all messed up, what's wrong with putting your foot through the ball occasionally. Taylor played well, I think Ellis and him will prove to be a good combination.
Dover kept going but we looked a better outfit.

We are not quite firing up front .... chances are there ... output not yet.
I don't blame Cunnington for going it alone .... confidence in Taylor to finish must be pretty low at the moment.
Frustrating today ... not the end of the world though.

The curse that our former manager John Ward bequeathed us (ie a team that has a complete and utter failure to score sufficient goals to win games, and a remedy to that problem, namely signing a proven goalscorer in spite and despite the budget) continues.
Why is it that we don't have either the nous or funds to remedy this long-standing problem?

If Dover scored early in second half we wouldn't so deflated. Taylor struggling at the mo. Mansell and Sinclair excellent midfield combo. Trotman had another great game. We move on. 3points on Tues then 8 from 12. Promotion form.

We mustn't lose sight that we are now unbeaten in 7 games. It's a good base that is building with that. Yes could be better but could be a lot worse.

Not much to say really apart from it was a nothing game, where we created the odd decent chance but failed to convert, rode our luck for too long at the back and was punished. Defence didn't look solid today, midfield 2 were quality as usual, Puddy showed he is a very good back up keeper at this level and more than good enough to fill in for Mildy. Marcus Stewart is going to have to earn his corn this week and gets some intense work done with the strikers because this result has the potential to knock our good winning form out of rhythm. Taylor seemed to be struggling today, whether it was a lack of confidence or an injury, but on Tuesday night i would defiantly give Jamie White a start alongside Cunnington and look to go back to 3-5-2 with Leadbitter at wing back.

Very poor today. Dover deserved that point. Anyway, a few points.
(1) You don't take off your top scorer when there is a game still to be won.
(2) Taylor is not clinical enough. Need to take him out of the firing line and allow either White or Harrison a chance.
(3) If these players are not clinical enough then we need to go out and find a player who is. Maybe that is Balanta? Maybe not. We need a 20+ scorer though. We can't keep expecting to grind results out.
(4) I think we missed Mildenhall big time today. Puddy did Ok, but there was very little communication at the back. One of Mildy's strong points.
(5) We get to put things right on Tuesday. Lets learn from today Gas.

Disappointing performance today.Unlucky for the Dover goal with a shot going wide bouncing back into play off a Rovers defender I think and falling perfectly for them to score.Fair result though and can't remember the last time we dropped 2 points because of a late goal.No big deal with a win on Tuesday.

Mistake taking off Cunnington imo. Harrison brought on to do the same job that Cunnington was doing. Harrison was never going to win much in the air against 2 tall centre halves. Thought Dover deserved their point. Unbeaten in 7 with definate signs that we are finding our feet in this league..UTG

Thought Brown and Sinclair had good games. I know we're not allowed to yearn for ex-players - but can't help but think that Cureton would have scored a couple of the chances Taylor spurned today. A little bit of quality in the box would have made the difference. Martin - still doesn't do enough for me. Would swap him for their left winger Nanetti - bet he's on a quarter of Martins wages as well. Time to go again on Tuesday and hopefully show some more of the fighting spirit we saw at Eastleigh

What the **** was that today ? Ellis must be asking why did he not start ? Cunnington must be asking why he was taken off when Taylor was playing so ****, 1 goal in 13 matches, really ! Taylor is awful along with Jamie "over weight" white,IMO should not be around the first team. Clarke, who calims to have all the connections, needs to bring in a goal scorer asap. Trotmam and Lockyer at centre back for me, with calamity parkes dropped. And yes we need a right back, if clarke is not going to give leadbiiter a game.

Communication at the back a definite issue without Mildenhall but never mind, he's back on Tuesday. We had the chances to win it against a well organised and spirited Dover and it bit us on the backside at the end there. We have the team to win this division in every department other than up front

Dover had a very decent shout for a penalty right at the death as well and a lot of conference refs need to see gbh committed before giving a spot kick.

Anyone know whats happened to Basel ? he always started the match day threads but seems to have gone missing lately. Bas seemed to give the impression that he was unhappy with the closing down of the Current Affairs forum. I hope that's not the reason but I don't think he has posted here since then which is a shame. Bas asked me to delete his profile. Fact is I disabled it not deleted it so if you're reading this Bas and want to come back (which you are more than welcome too) then it can be re-activated. Drop me a line at bristolch4@gmail.com
