We are very much listening to what fans are telling us. Two members of the team work in the Supporters club shop. As I mentioned earlier, time and again the word used is subtlety (when it comes to adult clothing). Also retro gets mentioned a lot. Just read this thread back through and see how many times subtelety is alluded to. Children's clothing is a different matter and I fully expect to see utilisation of Pirates and other 'fun' imagery. Not knowing who is on this committee, I'm glad to see that two members work in the Supporters Club shop as they would have got feedback from Gasheads about what the club do not sell and what they would like to see for sale.
One problem that I have become aware of is that the club, for some reason, do not appear to be interested in "low value" items. I have seen children in the shops pestering their parents for the small items costing just a few pounds, they are not really interested in items over £10.
Keep up the good work.

The best example of a webstore i personally think we should copy, comes from a local club, with a fanbase I would imagine is very similar in size to our own... Bath Rugby. They get match day crowds of around 12,000 so perhaps they might argue they are a bigger club, i just see them as similar. Please everybody, do me a quick favour and take a look: www.bathrugbyshop.comThen i have a few questions 1) do you like its layout? Are things easy to find? Is the categorisation enough? 2) is their selection of merch something you would be happy with? 3) does the quality of merch look good to you? To help you make a decision, find a scarf. Did you find it easily? Whilst you are looking at the scarf, do you like what they have done with the way it has been branded? (I note it has sold out, so guess it was popular!). I am not a rugby fan, but I'm impressed by this store.

I tried the same thing on our site, and it looks like we don't have internet shopping. That seems a bit amiss. The Bath prices looked a bit steep for some stuff, but then I guess it's quality. They didn't seem to have a huge selection of stuff, though.

Would it be fair to assume that companies like Match winner and Bukta are no longer trading? Surely if so, we could make replicas of old kits etc

Dare I say it but some of the stuff they sell at the Bristol C**y store, is actually spot on. Always jmpressed when I've been down. So we are all clear, I had to shop there for Dude Senior a few Christmases ago on the request of my mother, it wasn't nice but some of their merch (in all departments) is pretty high quality & there is plenty of it. Puts our pirate leisure well and truely to shame.

Excellent example of what should be, but fearful that while BB is leading the debate - you are all wasting your time. I get where you're coming from, however, if those on the Committee can get a few of these sort of items stocked, hopefully the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, and BB couldn't ignore successful sales figures. I wish I had your faith - but experience of dealing with BB tells me otherwise

I am not a rugby fan, but I'm impressed by this store. 1) Website layout is good. Easy to find what you want, and not too many categories to wade through. I like the fact that customers are able to leave reviews of items purchased. 2) Selection is OK'ish, but very little in the way of "pocket money" priced items for children. The clothing seems to be rather expensive, but maybe rugger b*ggers attract a more wealthy following? An example is the ladies plain navy rugby style top, with the Bath badge on it - originally priced at £50, (although now reduced to £25 in the sale). 3) On the whole the quality looks fairly good. Although some of the children's t-shirts may be a bit pricey at £10 - whatever the quality they soon grow out of them!

Just another thought. For every season ticket sold why not include a scarf and hat in the price?

Just another thought. For every season ticket sold why not include a scarf and hat in the price? You get this with some PL clubs. Last season I got a very nice woollen scarf, right length, good quality, not sure I've ever had a Rovers' scarf of the same quality. Just 2 colours, no club logo, luverly. This started months ago, what's happened? Talking and nothing else. Barry needs to clear his head and make the same decisions that anybody competent would, employ someone who knows the market, knows the suppliers and gets the flipping job done! Of course talk to customers, but it's descending into a farce. Any minute now he'll miss the cut off for getting new lines onto the shelf for Christmas. Unless of course he's just going to do whatever he wants and has already ordered some rosettes and laced up leather footballs boxed with a tin of dubbin. Sorry if that's board bashing Henbury, but he sounds more like an obstacle to improvement than anything else.

Anyone know whether they'll be selling the yellow third kit, btw? According to the other forum the club are not going to release it due to poor sales od the two current kits so will not be taking the risk. Would it not be an idea to try the similar low level campaign that brought about the release of the pink shirts. If there is enough demand then they might change their minds, even if it is only a limited release it would be better than nothing.

Would it be a good idea to publish who is on this committee, with their proper names and which area of the ground they can be contacted?
As I have said before, a lot of us at NOT on Facebook or Twitter and some rarely bother with Forums.

Do understand why they wouldn't want to put it on general sale but if they announced it as a limited edition, ie along the lines of only 50 of the yellow third kit will be sold I'd have thought it was almost guaranteed to sale out.

How's this for a logo ~ obviously can be modified but could also be discreet.

This is the club whose directors will only talk to certain hand picked fans in secret though so don't hold your breath.

How's this for a logo ~ obviously can be modified but could also be discreet. Looks like a pair of scissors to me? All of this is just tinkering around the edges. Both shops are a mess, especially 199, you can't get in to PL during what would be the busiest period before games, then after games it's stuffed full of people wanting tickets, so no room to browse and you can't leave the ticket queue to look at what's on offer, we don't market, the website is a mess, we don't communicate, we have no database of customers' details. Deal with that stuff, then you can worry about length of scarves or if they should be block or striped.
